Ray Emery started for the 2nd consecutive game, but the Blackhawks could not find the offensive support to gain a win, dropping their 9th straight loss in a row.

Ryan Suter got the ball rolling for the Predators with a snap shot that beat Ray Emery late in the 1st period. But, the Blackhawks didn't fold as usual with Bryan Bickell responding in the final minute to close out the period after peppering the Predators with 11 shots to their 5 on net.

In the 2nd period, Nick Spaling tipped a shot past Emery to put the Predators ahead 2-1, and the Blackhawks were unable to respond for the remainder of the middle frame.

Marian Hossa capped off the Blackhawks night with a wrist shot to tie the game 2-2, his first goal since January 21st, ironically against the Predators. Despite the lopsided advantage in shots, 11-3, the Blackhawks couldn't hold on with Ryan Ellis beating a cold Ray Emery with the game-winning goal.

BLACKHAWKS THREE STARS OF THE GAME

1. Marian Hossa

2. Andrew Shaw

3. Bryan Bickell

I really did fall asleep. A combo of the preds and an underachieving hawks was enough to knock me out.

Im honestly so bored of this team right now.

I have to say I've never seen Toews and Kane so ineffective, there being completely neutralized by teams. Kane had a couple good rushes and Toews had a very good scoring chance but otherwise it just seems like something is very off.

This streak is gonna be the end of us all....

We're masochists for putting up with this shit, I swear it.... and that was before the game.... Then Emery gave us grim reminders of having Huet in goal..

Never thought I'd be saying it, but this is how true fans are made, everyone. Good job!

I guess that's really the good part of dealing with this streak.

with how fickle and "untrue" chicago hockey fans are, im quite surprised the games are still being shown in the bar at my work. Couldnt agree more, Wolf.

Toews is probably burnt out a little from carrying this team on his back earlier in the season, his wrist and now being man handled like a rag doll out there every game because the team plays soft is built soft and coached soft. Same shit happened to him last year late in the season. He is obviously frustrated to all hell also.

Who knows what the issue with Kane has been. Wether the coaching has and is hurting him wether he hasnt been 100% health wise all season wether the other teams have just figured out that if you step up to him he isn't as effective. Who the hell knows.

You are right though they haven't done much..something is def horribly wrong with those 2.

That is bloody ballsy to admit that you actually "chose" to watch Waterworld. You are going to be drunker and up at 7am by the sounds of things.

Dennis Hoper is good though.

It is built to hit and coached soft. To me it is pretty clear Q has lost the dressing room and if that is the truth then he needs to go. I don't care if you bring in Carlye or give it to Havi, at this point only a coaching change will fix it.

Throw an asterisk their way-2 of their "wins" were by shootout, including one against CBUS.

Trust me, they LOVE having that tidbit pointed out.

I am as frustrated as anyone... but the fact that the Hawks are about to lose 10 straight and are still 6th in the conference... that gives me some hope.

They had a TERRRRRRRRRIBLE February the year they won the Cup as well if I remember correctly. As long as they hit their stride in April/May/June I will be happy!

Well they had a lot of Weber-Suter, but I agree.

They played well enough to win that game. Preds gave them plenty of opportunities. At some point a goalie will have to step up and stop one of the beach balls bouncing buy them. Emery said as much in his post game comments. Maybe they should bring up a goalie from the Hogs for a game or two just to light a fire under Crow/Emery.

Actually they had a decent road trip and had a questionable March. 1-5-2 in the Middle of March. Not 1-8-1 though.

I am actually enjoying the fact it's possible Mcdonough is squirming like the slime ball he is.

What makes you think he's squirming? It's not like he gives a rat's tuchasse about hockey, and there aren't empty seats or lost sponsorships...... yet

[sub]When your goalies are giving up softies, you're giving up an odd man rush very five minutes and your best offensive players are Bickell & Kruger...[/sub]

[sub]Really, it's not Q's fault, it's Andrew Shaw's.
