It is built to hit and coached soft. To me it is pretty clear Q has lost the dressing room and if that is the truth then he needs to go. I don't care if you bring in Carlye or give it to Havi, at this point only a coaching change will fix it.

i don't see a team built to hit. I know stan can't be faulted for carcillo being injured but after continually trading away the more physical guys on the team the last two seasons and replacing them with what stan has i just can't agree that its only coaching. More reasons why I dislike the Q/Bowman combo so much.

[sub]When your goalies are giving up softies, you're giving up an odd man rush very five minutes and your best offensive players are Bickell & Kruger...[/sub]

[sub]Really, it's not Q's fault, it's Andrew Shaw's.

What makes you think he's squirming? It's not like he gives a rat's tuchasse about hockey, and there aren't empty seats or lost sponsorships...... yet

Key word. They just raised ticket prices some 20% again. Then the team screams off 1-8-1 record. I'd guess he's starting to get hot under the collar. Just a guess. The thought makes me slightly happy. Leave me alone if I've found a happy place! LOL

I see little grit on this team. Toews gets pushed around and besides Mayers and Shaw (and Scott when the refs allow it), I see no one able (or willing to) protect Toews or Kane. If no one else is going to do it, I hope that Toews will take some boxing and martial arts lessons next summer. They may not be in Toews skill class, but you don't see captains like Doan, Morrow or Mccullough getting pushed around.

I don't know about you guys, but I thought they played their best hockey since the Nucks. Unfortunately, they are not getting any bounces going there way, Jesus not one. Through these games, last night I had really felt bad for the team overall, cause I saw that hunger to win. great to see Shaw in the lineup brought some life to the team. The third goal off of Keith's stick says it all for this road trip. They really need a new goalie, Craw and Emery will not do the job, but habby will not do it either. This team needs a Top notch goalie. Stan is waisting time if he thinks either of these guys will do it. our streak ends In NEW YORK! Hawks will win, begining a win streak.

Low and behold, Sassone blames the goalies for last night. Mind you only Emery played so you have to leave Crawford out of the conversation, but whatev...

I fail to understand how Ray is to blame for Keith making a bullshit half-assed attempt to block a point shot that redirected the puck enough to evade the goalie or how the winger was absent from the lane or his responsibility to cover that point man. I fail to understand how it is Ray's fault that a shot was tipped and redirected ten feet in front of him by an opposing forward who was barely being covered or removed from the slot.

Our team D is broken, that is Kithcen's responsibility.

Don't make the goalies the fall guys for the D making bad blocks or failing to clear threats.

ahh, but it's ALWAYS the goaltender's fault- don't you know that?

The D has issues, yes. That means the goalies have to step up and make a big stop now and then.

Totally agree here.

go to hell

LOL! Thanks I didn't see that until you quoted it!

Emery has to stop the go ahead goal last night. While Keith tipped it ever so slightly our goalies seem to have problems with the big saves. Rinne didn't seem to have a problem as he stoned Sharp and Toews twice.

Nashville put 19 shots on net. Who gets credit for that?

I thought the D played rather well last night. I thought the Hawks forechecked well last night and kept the puck in the Preds end. The PK looked decent. Sharp couldn't finish. Keith couldn't finish. Toews couldn't finish.

I thought Emery was pretty solid last night too.

NY is going to be one hell of a challenge.

1951, here we come.

Rinne was the difference. IMO. Thought the Hawks played a very good game for the most part. If they continue to play like that they'll win some more games.

Assuming the goalie can make some big saves when he needs too.

The game winner was a beach ball. Emery said himself in the post game he has to make that save. He also nearly let in another shot from mid ice on an unusual bounce in the same period before the game winner. Post saved his ass.

Part of that is because they are thinking out there. With all the line changes, there's no continuity whatsoever.
