agree but all these bone heads here kept yapping that Bergeron had it wrapped up. Some of us awesome fans knew right away Toews was winning it because he's THE BEST defensive forward in the league hands down who had the better stats to prove it even if people wanted to go the stat routes. Even eastern bias couldn't ignore them this time around.

Hands down the best? Come on... Zetterberg, Datsyuk, Bergeron, Hossa, and probably a couple other are all in the same class of defensive forward. Nobody is "hands down" the best defensive forward in the league.

He absolutely deserves this, on the Hawks site I voted for him and the Selke when they were asking which player and which award you would like to see. I think this is not his last one either. Hossa is up there as well but Toews deserves it. I think Hossa is probably the most gifted player on the team overall but Toews should have won the Selke.

People can ***** all they want, its not like only Chicago fans voted. I really can't understand why a team is either loved by many or hated by many. I guess the turn around from being a cellar team for years to a power house basically in two years, can lead to jeliousy.

Great award. To me, it is the most respectable of the forward awards.

Well...Bergeron is shutting Toews' ass down in this. So maybe he should have won it.

Just as Koivu, Zetteberg, Stoll did....

The players Toews has been guarding haven't been braking any scoring records.

Bergeron has a goal....

Zetteberg had 1g/3a

Toews just needs to be more than a "defensive" center. Some thought he should have been a Hart Candidate. 1g in 19gms(on the PP) isn't very impressive.

The opposing teams are targeting him more than any player on the team. And I mean both schematically and physically. It's amazing to me to see all the cheap shit the the opposing teams have been getting away with all throughout. I'm not sure who he even still finishes games. For all the excuses that people made for the Kings players being hurt I wouldn't be surprised if Toews is too but he's still out there competing as hard as ever. I would love to see him get on the score sheet, and he's been so close so many times, but he's still out there giving more effort than anyone else on the team.
