Not a chance I am paying $180 for that tiny cooler. He's got to get that price down to maybe $50 for that size model.

Pretty neat in general, but just too small.

Was that purchased or donated to the cause?
Kinda both....he only wanted $50,000 but is up to 4.6 million. Anyone who donated $180 or more gets a cooler and so far 25,000 people have done that.

WOW! Good for the guy. Hope he can get retailers to give him a shot.

Last weekend we were at the beach and i was using the cooler as a table by my chair. Every time I had to get into it I had to remove my speaker, phone and cup. Also I had to take my phone to the car to recharge after streaming music to the speaker for 3 hours. Plus I hate the handle and wheels on my cooler and would prefer the positioning of these instead. I would have loved to have this thing instead. My wife would use the blender and she is always bringing a cutting board/knife for cutting fruit.

Sure it would be better if it was bigger but As it is I still want one.

Depends on the project. Some allow you to buy early at a cheaper price. Honestly I see this cooler in the $225-250 range retail.

Really? I can;t see it. I know of no one that cuts food at the beach/park.. All that done ahead of time in tupperware or ziplock bags. The blender? Neat, but for those that drink mixed stuff it's usually shanty or wine cooler. The music maybe, but again, not a lot of folks do that. The wheels are bigger but still the same materials it appeared. I dunno, $50 seems more inline. You want a cooler or a tablet or a laptop? I have a 5 day cooler that set me back $60 and can hold well over 100 cans/bottles. I'm good.

Kickstarter is essentially donating to a cause/company/person and getting a gift in return.

I've kickstartered a bunch of things, but you need to be careful. Kickstarters that are funded can fail, and you may never get the gift you pledge for.

If you're going to throw a bunch of money at one double check the people doing it. Make sure there is a reasonable likelihood they will be able to deliver.

$50 is crazy talk. A wal mart Coleman with nothing special about it in that size is about 30-40 bucks.

Very real possibility this guy will be overwhelmed and not be able to deliver on those orders.
