Ammo isnt going at 4 times the rate, at least where I live..But read my above response

Do you live on Mars?

Maybe for .243, .308 or 7mm mag and whatnot.

9mm, .380, .40, .45, .223/5.56, 300BO, 12g slugs and the other popular calibers are unlikely to be found locally. It’s easy to find online. It’s just for 4-5X+..

Its not uncommon to see 9mm for over 10x what it was going for a year ago. Ammo was cheaper then, then 10 years ago.

It was like this after Sandy Hook.

Montana.
Ammo is there if you look around.
Prices are absolutely normal, sometimes even discounted by retailers looking to score some reputation points. You can buy a Benelli M4 shotgun for $1700 and as much 00 buck as your heart desires at one local sporting goods store.

OK..Thanks

9mm critical defense goes normally for about $35.00 a box...You expect me to believe that it now sells for $350.00 a box?

Talk about cool stories

LoL at finding critical defense 9mm. It is basically priced at infinity right now because there isn't any for sale.

However if you are suggesting that ammo prices aren't higher than they have ever been because of supply and demand due to the election you are mistaken. Who pays prices like this for chit tier ammo? Less than a year ago they were giving this stuff away by comparison.

Fifty round box of Winchester white box 124 grain 9mm NATO at an outdoor's store for $13. Hornady American Gunner +P 124 grain 9mm for $19 box at an LGS. Twenty round box of green tip 5.56 for $8 at the same LGS.

USP .45 Compact for sale $900, FNX Tactical $1200, FN Five-seveN $999, Glock 40 $600, Ruger PC Carbine $499...just off the top of my head.

I said early on that it was hard to find..I was using that link to show what the normal price was on a box of 25, and how ridiculous the statement of 10x the normal price was..I challenge anyone to post a link where a box of 25 C.D. 9 mm ammo is $350.00

I imagine he was being facetious by implying a 10x price hike. Realistically though, one year ago you could buy ammo like 9mm at less than 1/3 what you can get it for online today. I mean it was under 20 cents and now it is over 60 cents.

That is because of covid and the election. Those prices will not stay that high forever unless there is a literal civil war.

I think right now its being fueled by a belief that Joe Biden is going to ban or NFA certain weapons/accessories (basically magazines). Why this has led to ammo hoarding is tough for me to figure out, but the cough and the election aren't driving this new mania.

They were driving it in 2016... Well the election was anyway.

It is kinda moronic actually, like ammo producers are going to stop stamping out brass and loading rounds.

Its beyond stupid. There's no indication at all that any cartridges or rounds will be banned, even 5.7x28.

I can see hoarding magazines (and people definitely are) or lowers, but ammo? Makes very little sense.
