we forgot the scoring part

Buzz saw in goal on the other side. So if that heppens and your defense is questionable, I suppose your fucked either way.

Not to mention our goalie shit the bed in OT in two of those games giving up soft soft soft goals.

I still want to see a Beach-Bolland-Shaw third line.

Im ready to see what Beach can do. He is probably deserving of at least a few games this season (unless its a 3 game season). I want to see the guy also. Doubt the Hawks are brass enough to keep him up long term though unless he does get a shot and makes an instant statement like Shaw has done. Shaw will be interesting to watch this season. We get to see if it was all just a rush last year or if there actually is legit play there with him. Im betting on legitimacy of course.

Keep Bolland on your 3rd line. Move Sharp to center on the 2nd line. This gives you two openings on the top 2 lines for wingers:\

Open-Toews-Kane

Open-Sharp-Hossa

Are you playing a physical team? Put Carcillo or Shaw with Toews and Kane. Hell, I'm all for putting Carcillo or Shaw with Toews or Kane in any game.

You also have Stalberg, Frolik and Saad who I think could play top two lines easily (Saad will be on the 1st or 2nd regardless).

I'm hoping Saad goes on one of those top two lines......

I would assume that seeing the team is short on Left Wing players he will get a serious shot at it? He would have to have a horrible camp and pre-season to not in my books. I could see him slotted on either the first 2 lines.

If he's not slotted on the top two lines, or getting decent minutes, send him back to the OHL. He's not going to get much out of playing 9-10 minutes a night in the NHL

Sometimes I don't agree with that. Most of the time I do but when it comes to guys like Saad who I think are ready and really can't gain anything huge from the AHL I think 9-10 minutes a game in the NHL is more important than 15-20 at the farm level. I don't know why I feel like that and I am probably completely wrong....wouldn't be the first time.

I understand the arguments for doing it though.

If guys like Kruger are getting top minutes on the Hawks when they should be getting them on the farm as certain fundamentals need work then I don't know why this team wouldn't give Saad top line minutes when his fundamentals are ahead of guys like Krugers.
