And I wonder how the Mighty Red Wings will handle it. Their PP is 3 for its last 43. Outstanding.

we haven't payed a playoff game yet.

I am aware of this, I was voicing my concern for the PP unit for the playoffs because it has been abysmal in the regular season. I don't believe having a successful PP is a switch that you can flip at any time.

I really don't think the PP is as big of a deal as it is made out to be. When the PK goes to shit then we have real problems, we won a ton of games this season without the PP doing much of anything.

Seemed to be in 2010. It went limping into the playoffs. Just like the Wings right now. I wouldn't question either team going into the playoffs.

Wings are now 4 for their last 44.

Chicagos Powerplay in 2010 was 9th in the NHL, and our PK was 3rd.

Big difference

Yet there were two stretches it just sucked. One of them was going into the playoffs. Our PK has been outstanding the past 10-15 games. Went 8 games with one against.

The Playoffs are a different animal. Reg Season stats for the most part are thrown out the door. You know this.

Add that apparently there is a very good possibility of JT returning and I'm not worried.

oh, I know the difference, but it still is a cause for concern. Having Mayers on the PP is a sign that Q is out of ideas.

You sure that's Q that has Mayers there? I wouldn't bet your paycheck on it.

I don't think it's kitchen either. The guy responsible doesn't stand on the bench IMO.

LOL. 1+1 doesn't always = 0.

Mayers was NOT there before Smith started working with it.

1 + 1 has never equaled zero.

I would beg to differ Rex. 1 (McAssClown) + 1 (Rocky, where's Bullwinkle?) = 0 everytime.

Why is it that everytime this team shits the bed somewhere everyone has to blame the big guys not on the bench. What a lame ass excuse. But when we won the Cup it was all tallon..lololol. Not that he had about 3 #1 draft picks that fell on his lap....yet people will hate someone personally so the stick any hawks issue at them........dear god. So Im assuming when our pp doesn't flip the switch come playoffs, or a player gets plugged in at the wrong time in the wrong line that might cost us the game....the whole yeah Q put him in but it was really Stan.......no no it was McD....wait no no it was the karma for letting go of Eddie the Eagle....LOLOL.

someone needs to relax. And as for the top picks that "fell in his lap" most gm's in the league would have taken Kessel/Backstrom and Turris. U mad?

Pullford worked hard to get one of those picks. Chose a bunch of clutch and grab players right out of the lock out. After that Tallon had full reigns to do what he did. Build a Cup Championship Team. Remember no UFA's wanted to come here unless you over paid.

Exactly. Tallon did a great job on the team. He earned his ring, unlike Scooter
