4 teams in the fucking division over 64pts - and the Hawks are one of them.

With 5 rookies in the lineup and getting key minutes - Hayes, Shaw, Pirri, Smith, Kruger...20yr old Leddy...hell Toews/Kane are only 23?

Versus teams in the division -

Nash - 11-2-2

CHI -7-3-2

Det - 9-5

STL - 5-5-2

DET...won 17 in a row at home

STL - Been on a tear since getting Hitchcock

NASH - 12-2 in last 14 games...

And the Hawks...with those teams on fire...are right with them - while not playing their best...and missing their best sniper in Sharp. They have the best offense in the entire NHL. While needing a dman, and probably adding another weapon/role in a forward in the next month to fill some holes - because they have the cap space and prospect to do this - they are going to be right there for a cup run. I'll take this Hawk team over any of the others in the division.

I'm pretty sure it says versus teams in the division.

But I know, those are just "stats" that I throw out there...

John Scott > OD

For everyone making fun of John Scott as a difference maker, in this case he is.

You been drinking Stu's Kool Aid, I see....

Ridiculous that Scott could make a difference....baloney. O'Donnell and Leddy shit the bed and we lose. One team takes advantage of their chances and one doesn't. Guess which team wins?

Or using his brain and his knowledge of hockey to realize that in fact Scott IS a better option than O'Donnell at this point. That's not speculation, that's fact. It's not much better but it is definitely better.

Bouwmester has been an underachiever the last couple years yet he has never really played on a good club (another example of giving a guy a big contract based on a good season). He's a bit of a hard guy to judge though. I don't think he's a top 2 but he could produce at a 3-4 on a decent team. Just not at that price. A very bad contract.
