My favorite teams
  1. Portland Timbers
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
Goalies haven't been very clutch when it comes to bailing out mistakes this season, either.

True, but conversly, it's not like the Team D limited the quality chances on the netminders, and it's not like in some cases the O wasn't too busy looking for the perfect setup and the perfect play that we couldn't score.

Everything is interlinked.

I'd say goaltending has been good over the past few days. Let's just live in the now

Guys we are all blaming the wrong guy for Keith's mistakes. Don't blame Keith...blame Q

What does Q have to do with Keith watcing the puck instead of taking the body?

Pez I'd say 7-1-1 in their last 10 the goal tending has been just fine. At least recently. Prior to that how much was goal tending verses team defense. In the past 15 games or so this "TEAM" has switched from run and gun to team defense. Amazingly the GA's have gone down drastically.

Supra that is Q's fault IMO LOL!

I've been on the team defense wagon all season. The Hawks don't have an elite goalie, so their team defense has to not be pathetic. They are playing good team defense and the goaltending has followed. Imagine that.

Stop giving him credit for good things, I still want a new coach. He is to blame for bad things.

Why does it always have to be one or the other? Both goalkeeping and team defense sucked at the same time a lot this season..that's a fact...no need to look for cause and effect here. It's not always and doesn't always have to be so black and white...sometimes shit is grey. Right now both goalkeeping ( from both Emery before his flu and now Craw)and defense are going good. There isn't anything to complain about...for now (besides being Toewsless). We have seen this up and down shit all year though. It's what happens in a long season. Playoffs playoffs playoffs just get in (which looks good now) and we will see what happens in the second season.

Keith must have fallen on his face in the 3rd??? I missed most of it.

He looked pretty damn good the first two periods... or is this just another hyperbolic reaction?

Bullshit Stu. Keith had at least two, maybe three turnovers in the first period alone. Lucky they didn't cost us. I still love Keith, and I agree he's still one of the best. But my goodness, he's had his head up his ass for most of this season.

Seabrook had a couple, Oduya had a couple, Leddy one, Hjlarlmarssons ended up in the back of our net. Other than Ovechkin jocking Keith I didn't think he was that bad. Not to mention causing the first goal for us. He has not played great that I will agree with, but he has been far better than several points during the season. Playing with Leddy and his clear mistakes does not help him either. Although I did like what leddy clearly learned from Ovechkins move last night. It paid off later in that period.

As for the first period I call complete bullshit. Caps didnt have ONE SHOT on goal until the end of the period.

And just FYI your "average goalie" is the 2nd star of the week. Totally average!

Obviously all of Keith's hockey powers were in the teeth he lost in the Cup run 2010. There was still some residual powers left for the finals but after the summer it had all dissipated.

Like a battery stolen out of a car.

every defensemen makes mistakes, just for some reason, all of Keith's end up in the net.

I remember one season, there was one defensemen on our team that was the exact same. Mind you, they coughed up the puck more than anyone else, but their fuckups always seemed to get past me. Drove me fucking nuts.
