lol, put whatever vendetta's aside, but John McDonagh does not skate on this hockey team. Neither does Rocky, Scotty or Stan.

When are the players going to be held accountable? We are talking about the "best in the world". Hossa hasn't scored a point in 6 games and is -6 in that span. Kane has played below average. Toews hasnt many points but he's at least giving it his all EVERY shift. Keith and Seabs are not playing defense. Bolland our "shut down" center is playing like shit and his +/- is not good. Our goalies haven't played well, but again some of those goals are not their fault.

Is Q to blame? To a certain degree, but again he can only do so much. Playing bad hockey and making mistakes (give aways at the point, not getting the puck deep, no back checking, center not coming down low in own zone) will ruin any hockey team, and the Hawks keep doing it night after night.

I said it after all the off-season moves were made and now it has come to what I thought it would. I still think there is more than enough hope, but our team has fallen into the worst stretch we've seen in a LONG time.

The loss of Campbell really has thrown off our D more than I even expected, having that threat on your blueline slotted in the #3 spot with a stay at home guy like Hammer was fucking solid and I imagine pretty troubling for opposing teams.

Brouwer and Kopecky leaving took their hits, points, chemistry with them. They weren't the best, but in my post over the summer I remember saying that having these guys leave, and trying to replace them with guys who more or less only score, or only hit was the worst thing we could do. Stalberg plays one way, Mayers plays one way, O'donnell and Montador have more or less been worth nothing (although I like #5), Kruger is not ready, and Bickell who was supposed to step in as a viable replacement has just flat out shit the bed.

The moves mad in the off-season are ultimately the reason for this little stretch, sure you can toss in other reasons, but that is what I have come up with to rationalize this awful time as a Hawks fan. I still do not like Stalberg as a player, and the reasons are the same as when I stated I didn't like him last year and this year, he does NOT get the little things you need a guy playing on the top 2 lines to do....and he isn't a 3rd or 4th liner.

Campbell would help in the sense of moving the puck out of the zone and the PP, but one guy isn't going to change our lousy 5 on 5 play.

Why I must keep repeating myself is beyond me. This team does not grasp the concept of team defense when 5 on 5.

lol they forgot what team offense is also now trev.

there is nothing on this team working right now...nothing. cant even say "well at least they are scoring on the pp" or "at least the goalies are playing well" or "at least they are killing penalties" or etc etc etc.

i've never seen a winless streak like this before where a team has nothing positive. its blowing my mind. there is nothing right with this team right now. nothing to even try and build off of...its driving me crazy.

True, at least if they can work on their defense they won't have to worry about being down 2 goals in the middle of the 1st period.

I do remember one time when the Hawks were not scoring any goals and Savy brought in a net and showed the team how large it actually was and it's possible to put the puck into it with a goalie there.
