Reyes is way better than Pierre. No doubt about that. But I like Sale and Viciedo. Don't know if I'd want to give up an arm in the bullpen and a solid minor leaguer after we've dealt so many young, talented prospects in the past.

i see what you are saying, but if we go deep into the prospects that we have dealt, what prospects have turned out to be good?

That's true. It's a risk that you take and luckily for us, like you said, many haven't turned out to be as good as their potential showed. I'd just hate to deal away a kid and have him turn into some perennial all-star somewhere else. But being a GM, you have to make moves like that and trust your gut for the better outlook of your team.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago White Sox
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Toledo Rockets
I'd give them Moral, Viciedo, Beckham for Reyes and Wright. It would never happen but the Mets would have a cheap good infield locked up for years.

He seems to be getting further and further away from figuring it out...

It's beyond pathetic for someone of his caliber.

The thing about Dunn is that he NEVER gets the clutch hit, when he does get a hit (which is rare) it's when no one is on base.

Actually with men on base he's hitting .205/.373/.385, so he's actually hitting better with men on base then without.

He still can't slug worth a shit though.

We all knew he would strike out alot, but he would make up for it with his OBP and bombs.....he is doing nothing.

but hypothetically say he gets dealt, he will probably get hot and kill us every time we face him.

hes like Soriano last year, just throw em a slider any where in the lower part of either side of the plate and hell K. Just wait for a fastball!

Dunn's not doing anything with fastballs either. His swing looks really slow. Luckily, the Sox have the hardest working hitting coach ever who will have it all fixed, probably by tomorrow.

There's not a Thanksgiving that goes by that I don't count my blessings that Greg Walker works for my favorite team.

From Jayson Stark:

The White Sox love their home run trots. So in a world of disappearing power, Dunn sure seemed like a sensible investment last winter, at four years for $56 million. He didn't just come into the season as the only player in baseball working on a streak of seven straight seasons with at least 38 home runs. He was the only player with a streak of more than two of those seasons.

So while you could have figured he'd have some adjusting to do after 10 years in the National League, nobody saw him going 0-for-2 months against left-handed pitching, or running up a gruesome .309 slugging percentage, even with a fun-filled appendectomy thrown in there for amusement purposes only. Granted, Dunn's dependable track record was compiled with his appendix intact. But everybody we surveyed still predicts those long balls ought to be flying again any minute now.

"He's really feeling his way around a new league," said one scout. "He just can't get comfortable with all these new pitchers he's seeing. But there's nothing wrong with him. He's got the same presence. His mechanics at the plate look fine. I'd bet on him having a big second half, actually."

dinger for him tonight with an RBI, his lifetime numbers are definitely impressive, wish he would start making more of an impression on this team...

Too big of a salary to get dealt. That and he stinks right now. I'd say his trade value is next to 0. Maybe if he heats up though. :shifty:

Could be a confidence-builder for him. Gotta take small steps to get into rhythm at this point. His mechanics looked good tonight though. Hope he continues tonight.
