CHICAGO -- The Chicago Bulls have expressed an interest in free agent guard Eddie House, according to House's agent Mark Bartelstein.

The Bulls are one of several teams pursuing the veteran guard, who would be able to play both backcourt positions and give the Bulls more depth behind Derrick Rose and new acquisition C.J. Watson, whom they acquired from the Golden State Warriors in a sign-and-trade last week. House, 32, spent the past three seasons with the Boston Celtics before being dealt at last year's trade deadline to the New York Knicks for Nate Robinson.

House is a career 39 percent shooter from behind the arc and would add another veteran presence in the locker room alongside 15-year veteran big man Kurt Thomas whom the Bulls officially signed on Monday. House, who averaged seven points last season, is considering re-signing with the Celtics, among others.

The Bulls only have 11 players under contract and are looking to fill the final spot on the active roster with a guard after addressing their front-court needs with the Thomas signing. Former All-Star Tracy McGrady was at the Berto Center on Monday afternoon working out for Bulls personnel, but sources tell ESPN's Marc Stein and Chris Broussard that the team is unlikely to sign the veteran because, among other things, he may be hesitant to accept a complimentary role within the framework of the team.

I want no part of him. All he can do is shoot 3s. He's an undersized 2 who can't play defense and he isn't a good ball handler.

Your making him sound a bit worse then he can be. I guess I just want the 3pt shooting & clutch factor.

Defensively, yeah, he needs some work.

Thibs could whip him into a better defensive mindset.

And he's done this for a Thib defense already!

Eddie House would be the 3rd player on the Bulls that can play PG. And he is another good three-point shooter that can get HOT in streaks. I would like him on the Bulls.

Not Mason... he's a scrub that's made a couple lucky shot in crunch time.

He's not more of a scrub than House.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind seeing the Bulls give House a shot. I think they could do a lot worse. He would be a nice addition as a hard-nosed role player coming off the bench, IMO.

We need another true 2 guard. House isn't that guy. If we need a smallish "shooter" guard to rotate between the 1 and 2 we have that in Watson.

imo house if different than mason and bogans.

mason and bogans can handle the ball, but not that good, prollaly below avg.

house in the other hand is a one trick pony. shoot.

i rather have none of them. i want rudy

I think same. its pretty much settle on T-Mac, trade for Rudy, or slim pickings between House, Bogans, and Mason.
