I read that he also believes in the 12th Imam who will return and raise Islam back to power only when the world is in complete chaos. A lot of people were/are worried that he really believes this and that he might just try to create utter termoil so that the 12th will come back.

Not necessarily - I've always read that they are like "genies" or just supernatural creatures... some have even interpreted them to be demons.
