Read they toned that movie down a lot which surprises me. Apparently it would have pretty much been a *** XXX murder mystery had the filmmaker had his way.

Yah I liked his acting performance in Scent Of A Woman. Think it was slightly a showcase of his talents for that film. Story line wasn't mind blowing but Pacino def did it again with his performance. Its been a long time since I have seen it though. As far as I know it could have been a good film for its time and place. Haven't watched it recently so not sure if it stands the test of time.

People are probably just sick of scarface quotes and stuff. It's far from hot garbage. It's a great film.

I was hard pressed on my list between Scent of a Woman and Devils Advocate. Pacino as the Prince of Darkness won. It also won over Scarface as being a way over the top performance.
Scarface is a lot of fun at times, but is really a mess of a movie. The whole subtext with his little sister still does not sit well with me and a lot of white people playing Cubans.
Not total trash, but for sure does not crack my top ten in Pacino roles.

Pacino is one of my favorites. I'd say most memorable to me are Sea of Love, Scent of a Woman, Scarface, Devil's Advocate, Any Given Sunday in no particular order.
