i dont want the bulls to go back to the days where they had no inside defense. it was extremely frustrating to watch. id rather keep noah, his all-around game (with improving jumpshot AND stellar FT shooting for a big man), plus superior defense, effort, 50/50 play-maker, loyalty, and huge heart where you know youre always gonna get 100% out of him til the wheels fall off (not sure if you can say this about aldridge, there arent many players with guts like noah).

watching this guy play hard-nosed D in the middle of an all-star game made me a fan for life. defense and heart is what got him there, so thats how he played. this guy is a rare player and he is still improving. noah 100% imo

^^^ Totally agree with this! ^^^

Slight is sarcasm. I know a lot of those guys will resign or get extended. That's the big problem with 2014 FA is that there are quite a few viable players out there, but many of them will resign with their current team. And then, even if guys do actually decide to leave their team, it's a matter of making sure they don't go to the other teams that are throwing money at them.

The SF pool looks the strongest for 2014 easily. PG isn't really important with Rose. SG pool looks meh. PF doesn't look great(Randolph and Pau seem to be the headliners along with amare(yuck)), centers you're looking at Bosh(extension probably),Bogut, and a bunch of low salary players

So...
As always, the issue is that we got no money to throw to get the real "big time" guys out there...whoever that is. Perhaps if we used Deng's salary space/amnestied Boozer (or both) to sign Zach Randolph on a hopefully cheaper deal of the come take less money to play for a title type...maybe around 8M so we have enough to sign another role player and then picked up a decent wing player to throw out there with Butler or to back him up at SG (this is assuming Snell isn't totally ready to contribute yet) with the remaining space we could get a slight improvement overall offensively.

Either way, relying on free agency for us is never a good option. Then again...what option do we have really?

I love Noah and very much appreciate his services and heart of steel.
But, Lamarcus has more talent and athletism....The Bulls lack this and it shows, plus his scoring ability in the front line is a definate plus....I would trade Noah or Loul and amnosty or trade boozer to aquire a player of Aldridge's all around greatness.
He makes it happen in the post better than Boozer can in his dreams.

But, if this trade doesnt happen(and it probably wont considering PaxGar are behind the steering wheel), ill be pissed with the F.O like every summer.

Noah and Aldridge would be unstoppable in the front court.

Probably would be possible to beat the Heat in a 7 game series with a front court of aldridge-butler and Noah.
And Rose in the back to ice the cake.

So you're telling us you don't think the Bulls will pick up the options on Butler and Teague?

I was not saying that at all. I was questioning what someone else typed.

They won´t trade Aldridge for Deng since they already have solid wing players. They want Noah, he is in any trade talks imaginable!

Depends on.....

Offensively Aldridge is clearly better, defensively Noah is!

Now if you plan to amnesty Boozer and start Aldridge at PF, is the slightly improved offense from Aldridge over Boozer worth losing the defense from Noah and Butler?

I say no!

We got to dump some of those contracts anyway for 2014.

And what the heck would we do with Miriotic? Play two PFs?

If I am trading Noah, then it's going to be for Melo.

Rose
Butler
Ding
LMA
?

Vs

Rose
Butler
Melo
Miriotic
?

Assuming we kept Gibson we could either trade Gibson for pieces or trade Mirotic for pieces...or both. You have a little bit of a choice I guess. I'd take the lineup with Melo over the one with Aldridge personally and try to move Gibson for a C on the level of Asik (Gibson for Asik? lol yeah right).

Andre Drummond isn't going anywhere. He's 6'10 270 and he's only 19 years old. If Dumars trades him or doesn't pick up that option he should be fired immediately. Deng and Butler are better than Kidd-Gilchrist and I'm pretty sure Paul George is a RFA. Pacers will match any offer he gets.
