Those History Channel specials have been gaining my interest lately. It seems that some of the things can't be explained.

If there are aliens advanced enough to observe us, my guess would be that after viewing our planet of war, religion and greed, they have absolutely no interest in communicating with us any more than we have interest in domesticating worms we see in the dirt on a rainy day.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Washington Huskies
I think it's probable that there is some form of life outside this planet.

I don't believe people who think aliens have visited this planet.

I think if people had a better concept of how the conditions we find on earth are like winning the lotto one million times in a row, maybe we would take better care of the planet.

Just because we haven’t found any other earth-like planets doesn’t mean more don’t exist. The universe is really, really big.

The other thing people seem to fail to consider is that life may evolve on other planets in different ways under different conditions.... people look for planets in the "Goldylocks" zone where its the right temperature for liquid water so that life might have evolved and developed on those planets just like ours, but who is to say life cannot happen on other planets under a wider range of conditions? Who is to say all life in the universe will look just like life on earth? Who is to say some planet couldn't have life based on some other foundation other than water and carbon? I am no expert on the subject, but researchers are looking for other humans or humanoids and thus they are looking for conditions matching our planet, but it does not mean life could not exist under different conditions than the "Goldylocks" zone.

Who's to say he's miserable. He just has a realistic outlook on humanity as a whole.

I tend to think a little higher of my fellow man/woman. I think the good way outweighs the bad.

The common people, you're correct. The common people don't make the big decisions though. The leaders do and they usually bring out the worst in humanity.

With great power comes great responsibility (to **** over your fellow man as much as your possibly can before you die)

They omit the part in parenthesis in Spider Man :D

Honestly, I have to question the basic sense of anyone who can take a step back and look at the world objectively, and not be utterly mesmerized at how bad a species we are. We cling to stone age superstition, we celebrate greed, we have a planet unnecessarily rife with war and poverty, despite the enormous advancements we've made and the information that's freely available to us. As a species, we suck balls. Giant balls. I would think that a more advanced civilization (advanced enough to observe us) would be disgusted with us. Not the planet, just the human race.

I'm not depressed at all, I just think these things are pretty evident.

Plenty of questions.............

Seriously? The Moai? Absolutely nothing about them is unexplainable to the point that one would have to reach for a conclusion as untestable as "aliens." Their manufacture and transportation has been duplicated repeatedly (as early as the '50s) using means that were readily available to the inhabitants during the period in which they were erected. The only real question unanswered about them is "why?" And if you need a specific reason for people to build monuments I'll cite dozens for you. Are the Olmec Colossal Heads attributable to aliens as well since we have even less understanding of them than the Moai?

Aliens truly have magical powers over us earthlings...For instance, they make sure than anyone who gets film of a UFO has a cheap camera that's out of focus and the person cant hold it still

Well thank God we have you to show us the right way to do things... :lmao:
