I mean it could happen, but he is in a weak crop of 1bmn in the NL. Have you even looked at the NL 1bmn. its gross.

As a whole 1B production is down since Pujols and Fielder aren't putting up elite numbers and Cabrera is playing 3B. If the All-Star Game is supposed to be a reflection of who is playing the best at each position at the time of voting than LaHair certainly deserves to be in the conversation.

i guess when looking at his competition. there is only 1 firstbaseman in the NL and thats Votto. Lahair might get in because of the weak class, but as far as future goes, the league has caught up to him and the only way he hits a homer now is a mistake.

That is what this thread and my discussion in this thread have been confined to. I am not making any predictions or projections about Lahair's future production. As of right now, LaHair should at the very least be in the discussion for the NL All-Star team. What he does in 2013 and beyond has nothing to do with that.
