On PTD last night, DJ said he spoke with several GM's who each said that he was a great player but none said where he would be taken. DJ surmised that teams are concerned about the medicals and that he could fall. Guess that's not a surprise but maybe a bit more evidence that it could happen.

"If they don't go QB" and Garrett and Thomas are gone, I think the two cleanest players for the Bears at #3 are Adams and Howard

I had no doubt that he would fall, he may only be able to give 4-5 years before his body self-destructs.

#3 is too high for a guy that will be a rotational player. With the grand majority of our defensive snaps, we only put out two down-linemen. How many of those will he really take from Hicks and Goldman? If you are going defense at 3, take Adams, who will be out there every snap and can theoretically take options away from Aaron Rodgers.

I think it really depends on the team and the medicals.

The arthritis scare is something thats not easy to forecast into the future. It could start bothering him next year or it could be 10 years after he retires.

People get scared because its not something you can fix. But its uncommon for someone that young to have such a severe case that it causes them to be unable to play well.

I honestly think the most realistic risk is that it would start bothering him enough that his play declines and they choose not to extend him. That's unfortunate, but not exactly disaster if he's a pro bowl level player wreaking havoc for the next 5 years.

I agree I felt the same way. Pick #3 is to high for any of these players that are damaged goods.

Totally agree. When you draft Kevin White 7th overall and he can't stay healthy -- then trade up to draft Leonard Floyd, who has his own injury history -- Drafting a guy whose damaged goods at #3 would be career suicide for Pace.

No medical professional has said that.

He should be the pick at 3

He would be the worst possible pick I can even imagine at 3. Clear injury history, you dont need a doctor to know that arthritis in both shoulders is not good, and he won't even be an every down guy if we do draft him.

Awhile back I was hoping the Bears would take him at 3, not anymore. This pick has to be a home run.

It would be great if he fell like Myles jack last year. Pick three worries me but I would do backflips if we landed him at 36

Scouts have described him as "the most technically sound" DL they seen.

He can play pass and run. Fits a need and makes the DLine dominant.

Has no weaknesses, and arthritis is not an injury. It's a condition that MAY affect him in 20 years.

Missed no time. Production never slipped.

No brainer great pick at #3.

2nd best player in the draft.

I'm not as down on Allen as most of you but he'd be my third choice behind QB and Adams.
