Jeffrey might have been better off signing for less money and more years than holding out for the money he thought he deserved. PK said if something goes wrong then the line of teams wanting to pay him top 5 money won't be very long. Getting busted for PEDs, other than injury, is indeed something going wrong. I don't think anyone would have predicted PEDs as an issue but as a tagged player it certainly isn't of any benefit to him if not some, possibly significant, detriment.
As I said in another thread, things can always get worse. The only upside is that Cleveland only needs to fuck up and win 3 games, which I know is a long shot, and the Bears are staring the first pick right in the face. And then Pace won't have a lot of excuses going forward.
