I've had three beers from 3 Floyds and they were all excellent. Zombie Dust, Dreadnaught and Arctic Panzer Wolf.

I just recently moved to Texas and the craft beers available in my area are a let down. IL had better variety. And unfortunately every Texas IPA I've tried pretty much sucks. The liquor laws here kind of suck, too.

I like ska beer from Durango, CO. Turns out someone I went to HS with co-founded it. It may have gone under.

Blue Moon? More like Poo Moon, "the Toilet Beer". My brother drinks it with orange. I'll never understand it. My wife says Hoegaarden puts it to shame.

Modus Hoperandi from Ska is one of my go-to IPAs. Good stuff.

Breakfast stout is good, and Double Trouble is one of my favorite IPAs.

Meh... not a fan of any of their IPAs.

I'm just waiting for Lagunitas Sucks IPA to come out again. Probably my favorite IPA ever...shit is so good.

But seriously; craft beer will never take over. It's just too expensive for the college crowd and other primary consumer groups. When was the last time you and your buddies had a bonfire and went through 3+ kegs of anything but typical pisswater?

That's it I think. Thanks! Some of those I would probably swap out....but it's a lot better than half the country being fucking Bud Light, lol.

I don't think I've ever gone through 3+ kegs of anything at a bonfire lol.... I have gone to parties that had kegs of craft beer though. Most have just been a keg of bud, miller, or coors though.... that said, don't underestimate. The college crowd will still buy all their pisswater, but we've seen craft beer really cutting into the market share and profits on Bud and Miller already. I dont' think its getting any better anytime soon.

Of course those two will continue to buy the craft beers that are willing to sell, I assume that's how they'll survive is through their mergers. As what happens with American capitalism. Give it 25-50 years and everything will be like it was in the 1980's or how it is in every other sector of the economy...controlled between a small handful of companies.

But shit, everyone knows how shitty Miller Light is, they have to resolve to their marketing ploys of saying their bottles and cans are superior? Really? Its a mother fucking bottle.

Virginia has some really good craft beers...over the past 4-5 years there have been a bunch of new breweries in Richmond and I almost always buy their beer over some of the big boys. If any of you come to the mid-atlantic I would definitely give Hardywood Brewery and Blue Mountain Brewery a try.

In grocery stores in my neck of the world oranges are for sale right next to the Blue Moon display.
I never understood the need to add anything to beer. Corona w/ lime Blue Moon w/ orange.
All it is is just trying to cover up the flavor of bad beer. Good beer needs nothing, but a bottle opener.

Yeah, my home town buddies tend to throw some pretty epic shindigs...so 3 kegs isn't out of the question. There are several families that have been living in this town forever, so it isn't out of the question to have three or four generations worth of people drinking at the same party.

And yes, while we all know how shitty most of the giant breweries are, but the inherent general familiarity and price will almost always give them an edge in the market. That isn't to say that crafts aren't making a sizable dent, but it's unlikely that they'll ever eat up enough market share to overtake the huge conglomerates.

Oh, and Mongo, Michelada isn't too bad as far as "add[ing] anything to beer." At least if you get it somewhere that knows what they're doing.
