If you traded Deng for Iguodala, you can't really complain too much. If all the difference between them is a bit of athleticism and height, then you go with the healthier of the two, which is Iguodala. You're not really losing anything except maybe a few rebounds, but with Boozer and Noah, we got rebounding covered.

Well we allegedly offered Deng + Gibson + first for Iggy and they said no. So I don't think we're getting him, I think sticking with Deng is the plan now.

For the moment, I'm perfectly fine with Deng.

I still think your better off with both. They do different things and would probably comprosise the best rebounding team in history. ATM, no one we have really can run the break with derrick. What happened to being a fast break team? Iggy would be a dynamic fast break player that can both handle the ball and finish like Derrick. Korver can give us shooting off the bench and hopefully deng has worked on that corner 3.

I don't like that move because it doesn't spread the floor enough. You are building this dream of Rose/Iggy/Deng on a hope and a prayer that Deng can hit the 3pt shot consistently. Too costly a gamble if you ask me. If you get Iggy you look to trade Deng I would think and try to get a shooting guard worth something. Otherwise Josh Howard might be a nice temporary solution for the next couple of years...

I got a question regarding Ronnie Brewer...
Isn't he supposed to be restricted?
Yahoo shows him as unrestricted but I'd trust Sham more than Yahoo.
We really need someone like Brewer to guard Wade on the perimeter.

Doesn't matter. Memphis won't match anyway.

Anyway good news on the Redick front, Magic sign Q. Richardson. Maybe insurance because they're not going to match Redick?

Depends on how much they're paying Q-Rich, but I hope Redick isn't getting matched. I've gone back and forth on whether or not I like the move all things considered, but there aren't a whole lot of alternatives at this point.

Well they didn't have that much left given they gave a big chunk of their MLE to Duhon, but it's reported to be a multi-year deal which suggests he's going to be part of their rotation and not just a roster filler.

Between Carter, Nelson, Duhon, Richardson, Pietrus and Lewis you wouldn't think they'd have a lot of perimeter minutes left for JJ, so this hints at them not matching.

You got Korver, Miller and a back up pg to spread the floor off the bench. I also think that teams rebounding and defense will make up for any outside shooting issues.

Didn't you spend all last year complaining about Kirk as the shooting guard and our lack of shooting? Yet you'd be happy with Iggy because of his defense, when Kirk's a better defender than Iguodala (at least according to NBA coaches votes for the all-D team) ...

Iggy is on a different level than Kirk. He can do more offensively and can actually get in the paint. He also gives us a valuable second playmaker. Kirk never did that since 06-07. Iggy also gets a ton of steals and will help trigger and finish fast breaks unlike kirk. Despire being a worse shooter, he is a better rebounder, forces more to's and can do a lot more offensively.

We already have Rose, Boozer & Noah all who are good transition players for their positions. I feel like adding another transition guy will see diminishing returns. We need a guy who'll thrive in a half court game.

I don't think Boozer is all that great in the fast break. Having a fast breaking wing won't diminish anything imo. Either Iggy or Rose can intiate the break and finish. And if you want a half court guy, we can always bring back BG. Either is much better than Reddick.

We can't bring back BG, Detroit have given no indication they are trading him. It's as fanciful as the idea Iggy can be had for cap space. Sure they might not be able to move Hamilton, but Prince is expiring so they can shift Hamilton to the 3 to open room for BG if they have to.

I have a name that is better than Iggy or BG...OJ Mayo. Can shoot with range, athletic, handles the ball well, and potentially, a better player than both Iggy and BG, could be a perennial allstar. Memphis has tried to move Mayo in the past...

I would rather have Iggy and Mayo here together with Rose....sick. But I don't think that happens...

I don't see what we have to offer for Mayo, he's on a cheap rookie contract and the only bad contract they have is the one that *** just signed, so unlikely they'd want to dump him. I can't see them giving up Mayo for our picks, someone would give them a better offer.

Yeah, love to have him, but no realistic way to get him.

I have a name that is better than Mayo.... Brandon Roy. Neither are happening though. Why would the grizzles trade him?
