Huh? WTF are you trying to say?
That whoever told the anecdote about feeding Bears was exhibiting bad parenting judgement.

wow. what a jerk thing to say.
"In retrospect it was probably the dumbest thing I have ever done."
You must have been enormously offended at the OP then.
Sorry. I'm still a little jaded. Last season took its toll. Hopefully they can wash the stink off this season, but I'm not holding my breath.
Hell yes...let's fight. You compare my parenting skills to a pedophile. Makes absolutely no sense.
And my kids are alive and doing well thank you very much

When my kids were 10 and 8 we went someplace in Minnesota on vacation. While we were there someone told us about a place where the kids could feed bears. So we hopped in the car and off we went with a loaf of bread. We pulled into this place and there must have been 50 bears all around this trailer with people all over the place. My 10 year old went to give a bear some bread and the bear took the whole loaf. In retrospect it was probably the dumbest thing I have ever done.(Besides voting for Jimmy Carter). These were wild bears that come out of the hills because the dude in the trailer fed them big 50 lb cans of fat. There was 1 huge bear there that had been in the movie about the dude who lives with bears. Grizzly Adams. He kept the other bears in line.
I was at Rocky Mountain National Park last October and Grand Canyon this April, and the elk are abundant. I was shocked at how close people get to these animals. It's a national park, not a petting zoo. October is usually mating season for elk, so they're much more aggressive. I was taking photos from a safe distance with a long lens, while I saw people get within feet of these animals. They figured a small bush would provide them the cover just in case the elk became aggressive.
At GCNP in April, the elk were walking along the main path, and certain individuals thought it would be a good idea to take selfies, with the ledge just mere feet away from them.
Grizzly man, yes. He ended up dying and getting ripped to pieces along with his wife. Apparently you can hear audio of it, and I'll pass on that. I did read the transcript of the recording and it's disturbing to say the least.
I've heard it. After I watched the movie I felt compelled to look it up on youtube. It's only about 90 seconds but it seems to never end when you listen to it, horrible way to go. The worst part is, the girl had every chance to get away. There are also pictures of their remains, you'd better have a strong stomach if you dare to look at them.
Oh Jesus, they have the video on YouTube and you can see pictures? I have a strong stomach but when I look at this kinda shit my days usually ruined. I watched that one damn video someone posted on here of all those puppies being gassed due to overpopulation and I felt like shit literally the rest of the day. Also watched a beheading video of a journalist back in high school and I was fucked up from that for days. Couldn't sleep.
Don't think I could listen to the audio. Isn't it when he was telling her to play dead and shit? ****
Goes out to spend time with Grizzly Bears.... does not bring Bear Mace..... Darwin strikes again
I'm pretty sure he was mentally ill. In the documentary he is completely fearless around them, talking to them like they're baby children. He thought these bears were his friends, but you can clearly see they were just tolerating/ignoring him....for a while anyway.
