Depaul Blows! :bigfinger: I know Nocioni isn't needed on this team but he was a great guy and played with a lot of heart I guess guys like DePaulfan and Josmin are a bunch of bandwagoners and didn't see him play back when he was with the Bulls, like in the 06-07 season season that team had a good group of guys. I remember like it was yesterday how they swept the Heat in the playoffs good memories.:bullbang:

I loved his tenacity and heart and defense. He would fit in well with this team. We don't need much offense from him, but he can still defend and provide energy for this team. They should really look at bringing him back, the crowd will love him.

It would be better than bringing back chucking ass ben gordon.

Hell no! I am not a big Ben Gordon fan...but dude did drop 45 points last night...you couldn't get Andres to do that in 10 games combined. Its really not close. The Bulls need Gordon much more than they need Nocioni.

And going against the Lebrons, Melos and Durants of the NBA...Nocioni's tenacity would be worthless.

I just got off the phone with ben.
He's buying out his contract and having lunch with Gar Today to discuss terms.
Noc will also be there because he has been staying at Bens house since he was released.

This is a defensive team and Noc would fit right in with it. Plus he gets under players' skin and plays tough hard nosed defense.

Ben Gordon does nothing but chuck and get abused on the defensive end. He'll posted up every night and lit up if he isn't in foul trouble. I guess since he isn't a big scorer, he isn't important.

Philadelphia is not a defensive team?

Honestly, how can you knock Gordon fans for wanting him back, stating that he "was" good for the team and assuming he wouldn't be now, you also emphatically point out that he has been gone 3 years...but pine for Nocioni, who left the team before Gordon...a player who gets no playing time and didn't scored 60 points THIS SEASON while averaging 1.5 a game? I don't get it...

Because fans hated Gordon but loved Noc. Feelings carried over I see.

I don't pine for Nocioni, I just thought I'd throw his name out there since people were throwing random names out there. I think he would be a good fit for this teams' defensive mindset. I make no claim that he's a solution. I just like his defense and energy. If you read my posts, that's all I've said about him. I don't care about his scoring.

If he doesn't come back, I'm fine with it. I just thought it would be an interesting conversation.

People have been bringing up BG for three years. Especially SP94 who loves to troll us with different players for weeks on end. Ben Gordon in my opinion just wouldn't be a good fit because he is selfish and a ball hog who can't handle the ball.

I know you want to be a contrarian, but come on man, you're seriously telling me that you would want BG back on this team?

I want to give my opinion. Being a contrarian isn't something that interests me.

I explained in another post why Gordon would not be good for this team, but between the two players...its a no brainer! Gordon is a much better player at this point, and he scores much more at a much higher efficiency. The Bulls need some journeyman who WAS known for being a decent defender and agitator years ago like they need a hole in their heads. Gordon brings a lot of what the Bulls need in someone who can create his own shot. That is very important.

I read that post and I agree with it. This wasn't really about one or the other. It was really about just seeing what people thought. If he doesn't come back, I'm perfectly good with that. Like I said, I liked his toughness and defense.

I think what people refuse to accept is that we need player who can score. Defense is not the problem, especially with Thibs at the reigns, our problem is offense. So far our defense has been top of the league with guys like Boozer and Korver on the team, players that people love to rip on for lack of defense. Who's to say we can't keep it up with a scorer like Crawford or Gordon on the team. Now I would love a guy who could play offense and defense (Iggy or Afflalo or the like) well, but those guys are hardly ever available. Guys like Crawford are and will be. I think Crawford in the 6th man role could help our team immensely to help prevent those ugly scoring droughts we go through when Rose isn't in the game. Everyone's going nuts over Lucas because he's provided a bit of a spark a few times. Imagine what Crawford would do, let alone Ben Gordon.
