I'm excited to see what this run defense looks like without him. Teams shouldn't even pass the ball against the Bears. There's no need to.

Dexter has slowed down the last 3 games, or at least hasn't had a sack in his last 3 games.

I warned about this in a post I think after the Colts game. The defense is going 300% every play to keep the Bears in the game. It happens every time. Next thing you know the defense starts to drop like flies. Bears entire defense and offensive line are devastated with injuries.

This is all happening because of an obsession to throw the ball 15+ yards all the time. Throw quick passes, run the ball and occasionally take shots down the field like other teams do. Wear the opponents defense down, Caleb release the ball in 2 seconds, don't make it so difficult on the OL and give the defense a break.

Instead we are here, like we always are devastated with injuries and a QB running backwards and dancing.

There are guys open on short routes, he has a fetish for the downfield routes. Same story in college. Good NFL QB's take what the defense gives them then test their limits.

That's definitely a big loss but there are usually a couple run stopping DTs floating around.

Billings was one of the best pickups Poles has made. Having Dexter rise next to him made the Bears a top D.

Pickens, Williams, Cowart don't have Billing's size, strength or skills. Hopefully Pickens has been learning technique and is ready to show it.

Run D-wise... Edmunds, Edwards and the Safeties are really going to have to step it up. We might need to see more of Sanborn who's an excellent run defender.
