I didn't think brouwer was outstanding, but I never really had a problem with him, and he obviously played well enough to get a first rounder out of him.

Not really, he only played like 12 a game, and brought a little bit of everything. Couldn't do anything excellent but did most things well. Always seemed pretty steady as long as you didn't expect much from him. Kind of a poor man's Sharp without all the skill. He could skate well enough, hit well enough, had some goals, assists, could play on any line. PK if he had to.
