Montana was a system QB. Walsh’s west cost offense came on the scene and the defenses couldn’t adjust. Montana would throw 6 yard passes and Rice/Taylor would take it 60 yards. Montana made a career playing with a top 3 player of ALL-TIME who just so happen to be a WR catching his passes.
