The schools in my area have not had the students come in since the 17th...last Monday they had off for MLK day, Tuesday there was a threat of snow to come in the early afternoon (didn't really start snowing until 5pm), Wednesday and Thursday schools were closed because of the snow (I can halfway understand it, even when it only snowed maybe 3 inches tops), but then they gave the kids off Friday (most of the snow/ice has been cleared at this point), and then today was a scheduled teacher work day so the students had today off too. I'm curious how badly the braintrust in Richmond will overreact if an actual snow storm comes through the area and drops more than a few inches of snow. Gotta love living in the south, everyone panics at the idea of snow or any inclement weather.
GP..If they talk about a dusting of snow on TV, they close the schools here....The kids wind up having to use half their summer vacation on make up days...lol
