Actually since OTAs, mini-camp and all of training camp he was spotlighted as the most impressive defensive player on the team aside from Charles Tillman. That is high praise. He is going to be the starting NB whether you like it or not.
You misunderstood, I didn't mean to say I don't like Frey, I do. He definitely has turned heads this offseason, no question. I think he has great potential. But that is all it is at this point; didn't play last year at all (could have been because of Lovie, who knows).
Turns out moot with Winfield retiring anyways.
I sincerely hope Frey continues to get better...we shall see Game 1; should be a good test for him.
