At one time I owned racehorses, and sometimes shipped them up to Canada to race. I was having this same problem cashing purse checks.
After some investigation, I opened an account with TD Bank. They were clearing these checks in entirety in just a few business days. I can't confirm though that this is still the case.

Im really sorry I hit a nerve Mr Moynihan, but you claim you dont work in a bank. I find it hard to differentiate between someone that works for a bank vs someone that works in a bank. Theyre both bank employees to me...However, I call it like I see it...
For instance,I did a web search for "Nerdy bank Employee" and this came up
