Now that Ariza doesnt want to go back to the lakers does anyone think he could be a good fit in Chicago?

I think Ariza is a really good player who is still very young and could fit in our core for a long time. He could play off the bench next year and after Salmons leaves he could end up being are starting 2 guard for a reasonable price.

May I ask a question:

How was it possible in the championship years to pay those great players. I mean Jordan, Pippen, Rodman and Kukoc were not the cheapest players right?

Were there other rules for paying? Was it just an other time and the players didn´t get that much?

Pippen was playing on a dirt cheap salary. These are the 1998 salaries.

1 Michael Jordan $33,140,000
2 Toni Kukoc $4,560,000
3 Ron Harper $4,560,000
4 Dennis Rodman $4,500,000
5 Luc Longley $3,184,900
6 Scottie Pippen $2,775,000
7 Bill Wennington $1,800,000
8 Scott Burrell $1,430,000
9 Randy Brown $1,260,000
10 Dickey Simpkins $1,235,000
11 Robert Parish $1,150,000
12 Jason Caffey $850,920
13 Steve Kerr $750,000
14 David Vaughn $693,840
15 Keith Booth $597,600
16 Jud Buechler $500,000
17 Joe Kleine $272,250
18 Rusty LaRue *$242,000

Kukoc had what was considered a very good contract at that time, more than Pippen was getting paid. Pippen's contract was frontloaded and he was advised not to take that contract, but he did, so he was one of the lowest paid stars in sports. Jordan's contract ended in 1996 (Reinsdorf paid him through his retirement) and he got paid money that I believe is still the most any player has ever gotten paid in the league over the course of a year, maybe in sports history in the U.S.A. So yeah, JR gave up the money when necessary.

I still don't know the legalities behind Jordan's paychecks, would like to find out.
