I have no problem with Marvin Lewis.
He would actually be in my top 3 behind Brian Daboll and Robert Saleh.
My criteria is probably different from most here though.
I want a guy who has had success at multiple NFL stops. Unlike Nagy who was just Andy Reid's clipboard carrier or Marc Trestman who was just a position coach who made a name in the CFL.
Both Daboll and Saleh are both young guys who have been successful and gotten promoted and have developed good units as coordinators.
Marvin Lewis fits the bill for me because he has been a successful NFL coach as well.
Overall Winning record,
Mulitple Playoff appearances
Teams are usually competitive
teams are usually disciplined
players respect him,
his tenure in the league means that he should be able to put together a good staff.
He has some knocks against him but I think he could do good with the Bears.
