The way the system works, you wont lose your money, just some time to retrace and get it back. However, what would end up happening, is PayPal would have to tighten security to the point, to where it is not optimal to use for many transactions, therefore the cost to use the service will go up, and the remainder will have to pay higher fees eventually.
The worst case scenario would be losing money, and not having the time/resources to get it back. But that would only happen if PayPal doesn't restore neutrality.
For those who don't know the backstory to these threats, it originated with the WikiLeaks attacks by the government. People then funded wikileaks to stay free and afloat, but PayPal(biggest service provider for their donations) decided to cut them off, and for the twentieth time in so many months, eBay/WellFargo decided to not be politically neutral with it's customers. Anonymous(which is not a group or organization) had warned them, and after long attempts to try and persuade as well as threaten PayPal, they are now declaring a social war of sorts, which includes a great deal of boycotts, cyber attacks and negative publicity.
