Not to be insensitive, but people who have passed don't really care about the 2016 cubs. They don't care about anything.

But we, who remember them do, you turd.

And part of being a fan, is the shared experience. Knowing someone who passed loved something, causes a bit of sadness when you can no longer share those things.

Thanks.

And you posted this for what purpose, exactly?

Actually, every time I hear these players or theo interviewed and theo brings up the BS curse, I think about the people that suffered thru this all. Right now its like some pristine organization moved into town with a new club. I would like to see them acknowledge more of the past.

Why in the hell would you want them to acknowledge a history of being losers? They are intentionally leaving the past in the past and focusing on the now and future. I feel like I should have had a big plate of meatballs and gravysauce while reading your post. Christ on a cracker.

The saddest thing is to see sports fans who are alive get so completely engrossed in watching something they have no control over as an escape from their daily lives to the point of creating problems for them and others. We're seeing that now on these Bears Boards. Meatball mentality. Focus 1/4 that energy into improving your life and everybody's good.

Sports should be a compliment to life. It is not life.

Enjoy it but I feel like this is why we have the Bartman and curse mentality which does nothing but create pressure and negativity for all involved. Nothing shy of dominance seems to overcome this when so many are so completely engrossed in the outcome. Good thing the Cubs are good. I'll stay cautiously optimistic, happy as hell if they keep winning, disappointed if not, and enjoy the ride. Hell, Game 4 was a great game, but I know a few friends who were pissed Cubs lost it. More so having attended the MIA games for 2 bad losses. (sidebar over) Go Cubs!

I get chills watching that.

Man, the tears are gonna be flowing if it happens. I'm gonna cry like a baby being held upside down by the doctor in the delivery room.

It's a cliche to be sure, but sports, the Cubs in particular, was about the only thing my dad and I could connect over. So yeah, if they win it all I will have the feels. But let's not overblow this whole nostalgia thing.
