Anyone else just tired of this franchise?

Chicago sports are overall one giant shitshow. The Bears are at least funny bad and super easy to root against because of their bizarre ideological bent. The Lovie/Urlacher years were fun and all but the team is actually no less compelling, just in a profoundly negative way.

What actually sucks is what has happened to the White Sox and Bulls. Can’t even really watch them it’s so bad. City needs these teams back.

bet against the Bears and you will make money.
Actually if you bet against the Bears the last 3 games you'd lose money because they covered the spread.

It’s more like they murdered the old owner, took it over and ran it like a university admissions department with a racial/gender quota to keep.

Well at least they got super low interest rates on their operating lines of credit for a while.

It only cost them the loyalty of a good chunk of their consumer base.

I've been a fan since 2010. There are some real old timers here, so 14 years doesn't seem that long; especially if you're lucky enough to remember the Bears winning their last super bowl.

But within that 14 years I've witnessed some truly horrific, traumatizing tragedies from this franchise that have left me scarred beyond all redemption. It' been so bad I don't even call myself a Bears fan anymore. It's gotten to the point where I follow maybe the first 3 or 4 games of every season before I judge the team and decide whether I want to watch the rest of the season's games. Spoiler: 99% of the time I choose not to watch any more games.

Some might call me a fair weather fan, and that's fine. Maybe I just don't like football that much. Maybe I don't even know what real football is, having followed the Bears for my entire fandom. Can what they do even be described as professional football? I've seen the pendulum of pessimism and optimism swing every few years. It's nauseating. I'm beyond nihilistic at this point. I can't muster an ounce of optimism anymore. In the past 14 years we've gone from:

Firing Jerry Angelo, firing Lovie Smith,
Hiring Phil Emery, hiring John Trestman,
Firing Phil Emery, firing John Trestman,
Hiring Ryan Pace, hiring Matt Nagy,
Firing Ryan Pace, firing Matt Nagy,
Hiring Ryan Poles, hiring Matt Eberflus
etc. Bro, enough already. I know how this story goes. I can't imagine how anyone has the inclination or motivation, at this point, to even become invested in the next hire.

The infamous Bears QB carousel is even more depressing. I'll spare you the details because you all know. Does anyone have any hope that Caleb Williams is going to become a successful franchise QB here? If you actually do, please pass me whatever hopium you're huffing.

This franchise is a waste of time. Following the team is a waste of time. I know the inevitable response to this will be "ok, well then go away. why are you posting. Nobody likes you. This thread sucks. Kill yourself." And I'm fine with that. Maybe you're right. But I really don't post here very often anymore and the only reason I do is for catharsis, like just to point to this train wreck we call The Bears and to be like...what the **** ya'll. You all are seeing this too, right? Just what the **** are we even witnessing. You couldn't be this tragic if you tried.

This thread has no point. Except to say, **** you Chicago Bears. **** you for killing my fandom. You suck. You will always suck. I've come to terms with that reality. One thing I've learned for sure: you will never go broke betting against the Chicago Bears. Regardless of what hires or fires they make, regardless of what trades they make, regardless of who they draft...every season, bet against the Bears and you will make money.
Please let me show you the door, Green Bay is due north....

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Bears
I wasn't born into the fandom, I chose this fucking franchise when I was 4 years old. If time travel ever exists, I'm going back and slapping that little snot-nosed shit around and telling him to be a Patriots fan or some shit.
