My list of places to check out in Texas(cruising around the state on my motorcycle) is as in order.
Austin(hipster bastards)
San Antonio
Marfa(I love songwriters out of Texas)
Fort Worth(just to check out the strip)
Odessa(I want to catch a Friday night lights football game, and I have a friend who is a journalist down there.)
Any recommendations for food n such? I won't in damn 6 hours for franklins hip bbq(6 hrs for bbq? Tis must be a joke), but am looking for good real Texas BBQ.

I live in Denton. 30 miles north of Dallas. If you're looking for a good ride hit The Hill Country. And I absolutely love Big Bend National Park and cruising along the Rio Grande. FM 170 I believe going through Big Bend Ranch STATE Park is better than the national park. Just bring water. You're in the middle of fucking no where. I really don't get to Austin much so can't help you there but I've always thought the River Walk in San Antonio was one of the more fun places in Texas. Touristy but still pretty cool.
