Because if it isn't the molecular dissipation theory then maybe it points at a bigger twist in the story...I don't really care about the bullets per say what I do care about is what the significance of what happened in this scene represents.

maybe they just give the hosts fake guns or blanks? what I want to know is, when is one of the facility workers going to take a "host" home to his or her apartment?

That's certainly what happened but I don't understand the mechanics of how it happened. Were there no bullets in the gun? Or is it a suspension of disbelief play?

Go with suspension of disbelief, if the show wanted us to worry about the science of keeping the guests safe they would have gone there, they chose not to.

If it helps, let's say the bullets can sense humans and regardless of who fired the gun, the bullet will disintegrate before doing any damage. Guests and hosts can shoot hosts, nobody can shoot guests.

The scene with Harris, Marsden, and Wood was a big reveal that Marsden was a host, we saw him on the train and assumed he was a guest and Harris as the 'man in black' was the host. That was a huge twist, plus it revealed that the Harris character was a sadistic sick ****, who has been going there for many years. Don't let the bullet physics distract you from that epic scene.

Way to steal my idea, fucktard.

One dual timeline theory is that the new guest from episode 2, is Ed Harris when he first arrived 30 years ago.

I don't disagree with you but again I was only curious about the bullets because depending on the answer it could have been a hint on a storyline twist...after doing some digging I found this from the creator of the show..

“It’s not the guns,” Nolan said. “It’s the bullets. We thought a lot about this. In the original film, the guns won’t operate guest on guest, but we felt like the guests would want to have a more visceral experience here. So when they’re shot it has sort of the impact. They’re called simunitions. The U.S. military trains with rounds like the ones we’re talking about. But there’s a bit of an impact, a bit of a sting. So it’s not entirely consequence-free for the guests.”

So I guess that answers my bullet question...lol

Yeah they finally addressed the bullets in the show last night. A host got knocked down by a bullet that left a mark, he asked his friend and the friend said something about the bullets won't kill you but they do hurt.

I hate to sound like Ralphie's mom but, wouldn't that put an eye out?

I understand that the robots and sexuality are a major part of the story, but this week they went too far.

I actually saw it coming......based on a comment Hopkins made a couple episodes ago.
