I actually didn't hate him as an announcer. Yeah his delivery is for sure not polished but I felt like I was getting some xs and os analysis from a cb's perspective that wasn't overly dumbed down.
He's not my first choice but I would take him over Buck and I would take literally anyone over Schlereth.

Aqib is not meant to be an analyst. You could tell he was annoying the other guy as well. I get it that you want some differences in styles between analysts but this was too much. You want a guy that knows the game, yes I agree, but Aqib brings too much street to his commenting. A few times he said things like "he's playing that way right now, he gonna get that money!"
What the hell is that dude? Just really makes him look bad. And it's definitely not fun to watch either because you cant help but see the stereotype play itself out.
