Are we really surprised by Carlos Boozer?

Man, i'm glad we got derrick rose. Cause every time we played the blazers, i really regretted trading that pick.

I'm guessing you're referring to the Tyrus Thomas/Lamarcus Aldridge trade?

yeah. In the few games that i saw, L.A. was playing ridiculously well. If we would have kept L.A. there's a very good chance that we would have been the 8th seed, so we would never have gotten the number 1 pick that landed rose. Still, L.A. would be such a great fit for this team. He's got height, and his jump shot is deadly.

All this talk of post offense seems a bit ridiculous to me. If you look at it, half our possession that feed boozer the ball in the post end up in a turnover. Either boozer turns it over, or Boozer never gets the pass in the post.

I'd rather have a guy that can run and hit a jump shot with deadly accuracy. Plus, you can't teach 6'11''. Also how old is the guy? 25? 26? He'd be a perfect fit with the youth on the team. I'm not going to ***** too much, because we have derrick rose. Also, in spite of deficiencies, carlos boozer isn't a bad player.

Carlos is pretty much what I expected him to be, and I think he was the best fit as far as who the Bulls could really get.

I get the feeling watching him that he does just enough to win and not much more. I don't know if I would say he is lazy or just that he conserves his energy for when it is needed most. I get the feeling that in the playoffs, he can step it up anytime he wants to. Right now he just doesn't seem to want to (or doesn't need to).

what you have a hustle guy like Noah at Center...you can live with Boozer flaws at PF, I never expected Boozer to come and be the 2nd Option, I always said he was a 3rd Option type player, lucky for us...DENG has stepped up as the 2nd Option and he has done that Well this season

then again I am not sure if we go to Boozer enough, I thought I would be seeing Pick And Rolls with Boozer and Rose...I haven't seen that much this season

when I say Boozer is soft, I am talking about how he FINISHES around the basket, he would rather throw it up and throw up a Finger Roll instead of finishing STRONG...he does that sometime

I am happy with Boozer though, he does finally give us some scoring in the paint so I am happy with that...YES I wanted Amare over Boozer...but at the Price we got Boozer...I am not complaining! Taj and Boozer is a nice rotation to have at PF

If Deng is the second option in the playoffs, the Bulls may be in a world of hurt. You don't pay a 3rd option that kind of money and nobody thought Boozer was a worse offensive option than Deng that I knew of...because he is not.

Yeah, I was going to bring this up...Signing Amar'e would've prevented the signings of Brewer and Korver...and those 3 are more valuable to the team than Amar'e alone would've been...

Just ask the Souf Beech Talentz how a 3 guys w/ no bench works.

Actually Amare only makes 2 million more than Boozer this year, he would only have cost us Scal.

I'm a bit torn on Amare. He's a better scorer than Boozer but he's also a black hole and doesn't rebound. I think he's is a better defender than Boozer when he tries (he's so important to the offense D'Antoni would rather he play bad D than foul, which wouldn't be the case on the Bulls). On the flip side it's not like the Bulls are bad defensively so the incremental upgrade there from Boozer to Amare is probably meaningless.

I think the knee issue really decides it though, even if Amare is better this year when you have a young superstar you want to sign a guy you know will still be able to play at the tail end of his contract, and Amare doesn't give you that.

Overall I like Boozer anyway, we didn't sign him to be a star, we signed him to give us solid scoring and rebounding and be a solid team player and he does that. He plays hard on both ends most of the time, even if the results on the defensive end are sometimes limited by his athleticism and ability to react.
