70's Bruce was interesting, but the longer his career went the more I lost interest. Maybe he got too preachy or sober for me. Maybe it was the gutting of the E Street Band.

All the same...fan is too strong of a word. I do respect him as a songwriter and guitarist, but I have never owned any of his music or went to a concert.

This track right here is sweet:

Not sure, but if I were to guess...it's an out take from "Greetings From Asbury Park" or maybe even "Born to Run".

I love born to run. Greatest rock n roll album ever. It's the epitome of what rock n roll music is, in my opinion.

Have you gotten into the darkness on edge of town?

Better than anything he has released since, but still another hit and miss album with me.

"Badlands" and the title track pop into my head as great songs from that album, but "The Promised Land" and "Prove It All Night" really do nothing for me.

Its funny...this thread has had me listening to more Bruce than I have since the 80's. Be proud of that.

This is a killer version of prove it all night if you wanna give it a shot, so much better live. And that crowd seems awesome!!

lol oh please do tell what yours is, because it's universally considered one of, if not, the greatest rock n roll albums.

Anything from Led Zeppelin I - Physical Graffiti blows Born to Run out of the water. Dark Side of the Moon, The Doors, Back in Black, Are You Experienced?, etc. However, if I had to pick the quintessential rock album, it's Led Zeppelin II. Pretty much created a new genre of music. I'm pretty sure Sgt. Peppers is generally considered the best rock album.
