Are You Blue Collar?

I've done a lot of "blue collar stuff" over the years. Sometimes I miss it, but mostly on the mental side of things (e.g. not thinking about work 24/7)...when you're done, you're done. Might be physically exhausted but at least there is some sense of being able to shut off.

Even though I guess I'm technically "white collar" at this point, I mainly roll around in t-shirts, jeans and my trusty pumas....unless I gotta meet someone where appearances are important. But **** that shit generally. If I want to show up to work in shorts and flip flops, I fucking will.

what do you do?

I've done pretty much everything except retail and fast food. By definition my current job is pretty far from blue collar but if I could earn what I make now doing, say, farm work/manual labor, I'd quit tomorrow.

I worked in a warehouse for awhile and it wasn't that physically demanding. I mean it was, but nothing insane. It was long hours and such but you feel good after work from being physical all day. I also ate a **** ton working there. I'd eat my entire lunch at the first break then go out for food on our lunch break.

I'm white collar I guess, though at work I get to wear tshirts and jeans, no button down shit. Only time I hate it is when politics come into play, that shit stresses me out to no end.

I will play seriously. I am both blue collard and white collard if these are terms people want to use. I work for a small independant hotel and I do both maintenence duties, housemen duties and I also do front desk and operations managing. When you work for small business and enjoy doing so you have to wear all sorts of shirts and learn the operations inside and out. I have actually never worked corporate or for a large company and I don't think I ever could..just not my style not because I am against bigger business I just don't fit it and that is good for both sides. I enjoy the Hotel industry even though it is actually very very boring at the end of the day.

HOWEVER...I also suplemement my real paying job with my art. Which isn't a big money maker and is a difficult sell. Because 1) Art is never an easy sell and 2) My art kind of sucks and isn't at levels yet where it would make much anyways..but it's fun and it's a little wage suplementing and makes me feel like I am doing something independant which I control more of.

I was also in musical theatre and did acting for 10-12 years. Didn't make a whole lot of money in it but it was the best time of my life up to this point. You can all laugh at that and I know you will because you are all a bunch of cunts esp Grimson. Long story as to why I left that "career" but politics and health played a large roll.

Real question. When you are not wearing your sunglass over your eyes do you rest them on the top of your head or do you turn them around backwards and rest them to back of your head like a fucking full blown douchebag. And are the sunglasses you wear white rimmed?

I don't wear sunglasses because srs strabismus. I wore an eyepatch as a child. They called me the pirate. Happy?

I don't like to give people credit most of the time, especially this Canadian nitwit.

But... he is understating his artistic ability. His work is actually very good. He's just too sensitive to realize it.

This is actually not a troll post.

Jealous is what I am!! Not lieing I have always wanted an eye patch since I was a kid. eye patches are bad ass. Just can't go around wearing one without a legit reason too otherwise that's a complete douchebag move. Much like dudes with hair shaving their heads bald. Total douchebag move towards us real bald men.

It's funny, the eyepatch was part of my arsenal in second grade. people didn't want to **** with me because eyepatch. I tried getting prescription sunglasses when I was older but do you know what a pain in the **** it is to constantly be taking off your glasses for sunglasses or go amber-vision like brad childress-molester? And the flip-on lenses are even worse. So I just squint

He's got a good point. That's double the bad ass and you could master the art of pinata smashing which could be a great side show attraction if you ever want to join a Mexican freakshow.
