Missing the playoffs is a possibility.

Sure it is possible, but this team on paper is a 4th or 5th seed, predicting that we will likely miss is wrong.

Not really. Stats are stats and the rankings do NOT take in injury, regression, line chemistry etc. In a shortened season while starting a million games on the road there is a good possibility that they could miss the playoffs. As I stated before this season will be a sample size and if some not so good teams in the course of a full season start strong in a shortened season it could easily throw off the standings.

there are too many question marks with this team, so if a fan thinks there is a chance they miss the playoffs they arent far off.

Again games aren't played on paper.

No shit, but it is far more likely that we will make it than not making it.

The Canucks sign Cam Barker to a 700k deal. The only thing i miss from him was his shot, only on the PP tho :hawkstroll:

Anyone else get the feeling the Red Wings could be in some trouble this season, especially on defense?

Thought it was hilarious that they called Lidstrom and tried to talk him out of retirement. Signs of desperation, maybe.

would love to have him!

Ya let's **** over our cap situation by adding over $5M when the cap goes down $6M next year. Great idea.

I believe Mike Cammalleri said this on Twitter the other day. Theres paper teams with stats, but its the team on the ice and how they work that defines the team.

Looks like Connolly may be bought out. Could be an option at 2c if the Blackhawks want to take a shot on him. Wouldn't cost them anything except cap space for this year (if the claim him off waivers instead of letting him pass and try signing him). Injury prone and not great at faceoffs though. All things to consider. However, there are a few teams below the cap floor that may pick him up before he passes through waivers.
