LMAO!

Yeah ok. I wonder how long I am going to have to listen to cub fans saying this is going to happen. The sooner he signs an extension the better.

He wants an A-Rod deal, no way the Cubs give him that and the Cards have nowhere near the money for a deal like that

They only have like 69 Million committed for 2012. Still won't happen though, but technically they COULD afford him.

There's a report out there, he may want or could get 35M a year. I say the Cubs will sign him to a 8 year deal worth 270M.

Everyone knows if the Cubs don't sign him, he'll go somewhere and be amazing...And if they do sign him, he'll break down immediately, and in 2 years we'll find out he's actually 41.

It's the cub way...and I'm a Cubs fan.

Want to make a sig bet? If he goes to Cubs you win, if he doesn't, I win?

He already stated that he wants to stay with, and finish his career as a Cardinal.

Rolen, Edmonds, etc. all said the same thing. If the reports of his cost are true then the Cards will have to get rid of A LOT to afford him. The Cubs still won't get him though.

Truthfully..

If he doesn't get extended in STL.. we sure as hell better be making any sort of move we can to get him.

That's why we have to make our own players now.

Did you seriously compare Rolen, and Jim Edmonds to Albert Pujols? That's just funny.

You don't think a team would give up all it can to retain what will be the greatest baseball player ever?

No, not really. Just saying that the Cards haven't been keeping their stars to often.

They'll keep Pujols, but will lose Carp and/or Waino in the process.
