Nah I do not think so, last one was next gen only so I am pretty sure this one will be next gen only as well.

Then I won't be playing it.

Haha, funny story, I bought my xbox 360 while in a serious relationship at the time lol.

But no, I still wouldn't buy one even if I didn't have a girlfriend at the moment. Perhaps when I get a new job, though there's 10,000 other things I want to do too.

I loved me some AC Black Flag. AC Unity? Not so much. Hoping this one is good. Here's the IGN review. 8.2/10.

http://www.ign.com/articles/2015/10/22/assassins-creed-syndicate-review

I liked Unity.... the French Revolution backdrop was awesome IMO.

Only gripe with Unity for me was that they didn't just work co-op into the game, they almost tried to make it required for some of those missions.

I like the option of co-op play but I don't want to have mission completion be impossible if I wanna go solo.

**** this series I gave up after 3 or 4 of them I can't remember. They all run together as they are all the exact same game over and over and don't actually go anywhere. Ubisoft sucks. YeahI said it. Fun mechanics and idea but they basically role the same game out every time and nothing happens but running around. I don't buy Ubisoft anymore this series and some other bad experiences has swore me off them.

Ima respectfully disagree.... they change settings..... change mechanics and the type of technology you use.... they have added alot of stuff to the combat and stealth mechanics to vary the way you accomplish your goals.

**** they built a whole Black Flag game where you are a pirate commander out on the ocean able to both fight naval battles and also seamlessly switch to land and go right back to regular AC combat.

AC3 had the wilderness aspect which was cool.

And best IMO is the historical atmosphere they allow you to experience as a backdrop to their games.

Unity you got to run around French Revolution France.... AC3 the American Revolution.... idk I am a history nerd so that stuff is a big plus for me.

I grasp that you do the same stuff in the games.... but they keep varying things enough that how you accomplish the assassinations is alot of fun IMO.

If you only played the first 3 games.... you probably missed out on alot of innovation in the AC series.

I loved AC2 and the one that came right after it, but then they kept on rolling out sequels, and I got really bored with it. I never made it to AC3.

I played all of them up to revelations which was exactly opposite of it's name, so like you that's when I gave up. Told myself I wouldn't get 3... and didn't and feel ok for it.

Once a game goes into a 1 year dev cycle, its hard to imagine that its gon stay great and not get repetitive and derivative.

For me it wasn't even that, because I didn't think it went there until 3 hit really? Maybe it did I cant' remember. To me it was more about the story having no real story anymore. They never actually did anything and you never really learned anything about the storyline in them to make them great stand alone games, they were always geared into this bigger long con story which never happened. And it ended up making the games cut and paste. Be chased. Go back in time (yes I know it's not really time travel per se), kill a bunch of stuff, learn some history, figure out some puzzles, get too close to somethign that is never revealed, come back in present, run away. Start next game.

Yep and every FPS ever made follows the format of:

1. Start level
2. Shoot a bunch of enemies till they die
3. Get to a location that ends the level
4. Rinse/repeat

Almost every RTS follows the:

1. Build a base
2. Build units
3. Fight enemies/Repeate 1 and 2
4. Destroy all of enemy buildings to win.

If you wanna go this route, every fucking game made is repetitive.... every sports game you play the same sport the same way.

Assassin's Creed is not doing anything wrong by following a format.... and they innovate the format to change up settings and atmosphere and give you more options for how you play through the format.

You don't have to like the games, I get that you don't, but bitching about a game series following a format IMO would be akin to bitching about how Madden is always a football game where you have to keep playing football games.

Yeah, cuz bro.... ITS A FUCKING FOOTBALL GAME.
