I enjoyed blackflag until i started to try to finish 100%.. i got so sidetracked that i eventually just grew bored and never finished it.. i think i was at around 80+%. one day ill force myself to finish the main story at least.. hell i dont even remember where i am in the story and what the **** is going on

I thought the fact that they built a whole game where you get to be a pirate Assassin captain was pretty impressive.

The combat ship to ship or ship boarding or jumping ship and going on to an island was pretty seamless.

If people ***** about AC being too repetitive, Black Flag is the one to play lol.

Yep and every FPS ever made follows the format of:

1. Start level
2. Shoot a bunch of enemies till they die
3. Get to a location that ends the level
4. Rinse/repeat

Almost every RTS follows the:

1. Build a base
2. Build units
3. Fight enemies/Repeate 1 and 2
4. Destroy all of enemy buildings to win.

If you wanna go this route, every fucking game made is repetitive.... every sports game you play the same sport the same way.

Assassin's Creed is not doing anything wrong by following a format.... and they innovate the format to change up settings and atmosphere and give you more options for how you play through the format.

You don't have to like the games, I get that you don't, but bitching about a game series following a format IMO would be akin to bitching about how Madden is always a football game where you have to keep playing football games.

Yeah, cuz bro.... ITS A FUCKING FOOTBALL GAME.

Actually, I wasn't bitching about the format as much as the story not actually going anywhere. The format was just the mechanism for that.

Idk what to say there.... each game is a story that advances the larger outside story a bit at a time.

The longer story outside the animus with Miles does get to something of a climax as far as Miles is concerned and the whole doomsday thing is explained.

I guess if all you want is fast moving story, watch a movie?

Yeah they definitely don't need to be on a fucking Madden schedule releasing every year around the same time, the quality of the games will plunge.

That said, I don't feel the quality of Syndicate has dropped... and I am actually playing it.

I know ubisoft has a lot of different studios are the same ones doing each game each year? Or is it like Montreal does this one, someone else does this one, someone else does this one? I can't imagine one studio being able to pump one out in a year without splicing it up and already having a team work on the 2018 one before the 2016 one is even out?

I am pretty sure they have multiple studios working on the games.... I agree no way you put out an Assassin's Creed game in a year... each one is probably in the works for a year or more before it is announced as the next sequel and then it is usually released 8-12 months later.

Yeah, that's my assumption. I may not be a big fan of the series anymore but I can still acknowledge that they are huge AAA undertakings that get a lot of time and resources. Not like sports games that feel like updates everywhere, they are building whole worlds and adding innovations usually. They are running out of time periods though... can't wait to play Assassins Creed Woodstock with all the hippies. Jimi Hendrix is actually an assassin and Disco was created by the templars.

Lol they will have to seriously innovate if they are gonna do Assassin's Creed in more modern eras where you have lots of firearms.

I do think we will get one that covers the American Civil War period and/or The Wild West.
