Everyone saying how walks SO IMPORTANT. Cubs just had 4 walks that inning and only 1 run and that was because Campana stole the run. Now lets say they had 4 Hits that inning. How many runs do they get?

Hitting 40 HR in one year is impressive even if 38 of those in minors. He just seems relaxed in MLB to. Takign alot of pitches. Driving the ball for power. Just be nice for Cubs to find that diamond in rough n LaHair. I would think for sure he has roster spot next year being 1B,LF,RF backup and nice left handed power stick off bench

Yeah maybe but the Cubs shouldn't go into the offseason as him as a starter. Still go after a 1B and/or OF. But even if LaHair wa the 1B next year, the Cubs could get more pieces to build an contender.

I may get hate for this, but I think the Cubs should go into 2012 with Brett Jackson as their OF on opening day.

What i do is make Jackson my CF, trade Byrd to specs which saves you 6.5 mil and i spend it on Fielder. Then i have Colvin/LaHair battle it out for RF.

Cause he AVG at everything. .280 hitter, 10 HR no SB, ok DEF,cant take awalk to save his life.....He not a CF on a winning team. Think about it. Where has he ever won? PHI won after he gone, TEX won after he gone.

I actually think he's an above average defender. But other than that I agree with all. I've been sayin' trade Byrd for spects for a bit now. Fonzie LF, Jackson CF, FA signing RF, Colvin/Campy 4th OF. Maybe trade Colvin for a OF more proven and still pretty young.
