What famous athletes/celebrities have you met in your life? I've met some pretty cool athletes. No celebrities (actors/actresses) though...(unless you want to count Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders )

Harvey Martin - met him at a Boston Market down here in Dallas. Guy was hilarious and extremely nice. Made sure I got his autograph before I left. I even got to sit down with him and eat my meal with him.

Walter Payton - met him at the Hyatt downtown on Wacker & Michigan. (My mom ran the hotel for a little). Got a football signed. He literally signed anything/took a picture for everyone that was near him. Nicest guy I've ever met.

William Perry - got his autograph at a convention down here in Dallas. Man, he was in bad shape. In a wheelchair.

Magic Johnson - met him before a Mavs game. The guy is gigantic. Didn't really get to talk to him though since it was a "VIP Party" and there were plenty of other people waiting to shake his hand/get a picture.

Spud Webb - Work for him. That's it though.

Mike Modano - Again, met him at a convention here in Dallas. Got a hockey stick signed.

I hope you guys don't interpret this as a "name drop" thread. I'm just curious as to who you guys have gotten to meet.

What consists of meeting? Like hi-fived them, shook their hand, stood in line to meet them at some promo/signing, sat down and talked with them, friend of the family/come over for holidays?

Snoop Dogg - Met him after a concert. Me and a friend were hoping to get his autograph. My friend was going to have him sign a painting he did of one of his album covers but Snoop's security came up to him and said he wanted to buy the painting from. My friend said he wanted 100 bucks but the guy said "how about one of Snoop's blunts and meeting him" and he took the offer and I got to meet Snoop Dogg.

I've gotten autographs from other rappers and athletes but Snoop is the only real celeb I had a conversation with for more than 30 seconds.

Peja Stojakovic/Vlade Divac- same time at a serbian charity thing in Chicago. They signed a sacramento kings ball that they had with them and gave it to me and my brother.. we talked for about 30 minutes too. it was awesome. But I was 11 years old.. so I didn't ask any cool questions..

Andrei Kirilenko- You guys would never believe this. But last year, my brother said that one of his friends plays some games online.. Like World of Warcraft or something similar... and that he plays with AK and he gets tickets all the time. My brother was like "oh shit, he's coming to chicago in 2 days, ask him if he can get me and my bro tickets." The guy said okay and text my brother saying the tickets are at the UC and we can pick them up. My bro told me and I thought it was bullshit. Probably just his friend fucking with him. We showed up and the tickets were fuckin there! Ak spotted us out before the game and shook our hands. It was sweet..

Whole 2005-2006 Bulls team. My Godfather is a DJ for a serbian radio station and gets these VIP passes every year and took me. We got to go to the locker room and meet the players.

Brian Urlacher- Saw him at 6 flags.. said what's up, shook hands. He didn't wanna be bothered.

Devin Hester- My brother's friend from work was neighbors with him in his 2nd year, and I went over to his house one day and Saw Hester.. Again, basically just said what's up and shit.

Jerry Azumah.. Signed a pic for me when he was at a value city in Chi.

I think that's it.

Lots of ex-UK players that are in the NBA and NFL.

Randall Cobb of the Packers - He's a really good friend of mine. Went to school with him when he played at UK for 3 years.

John Wall of the Wizards - Went to UK with me, met him at a few parties and he even played some basketball with me and a few buddies.

Patrick Patterson of the Houston Rockets - Went to UK with me as well.

Deion Sanders - Met him after a Reds/Braves game in 1997. Really friendly and talkative. He probably spent a good 15 minutes talking with me and a few others.

Alfonso Smith, RB for the Arizona Cardinals - Went to school with him at UK.

Tim Masthay, P for the Green Bay Packers - Went to school with him at UK.

DeMarcus Cousins, F for the Sacramento Kings - Went to school with him and still talk to him every now and then.

Hunter Pence, Philadelphia Phillies - Took some batting practice sessions with him when he played for the Lexington Legends(single A affiliate of the Houston Astros).

John Calipari - I've met him at various events since he became the coach a few years ago and he goes to my church as well.

Ben Revere, OF for the Minnesota Twins - Played high school baseball with him.

Justin Burke, QB coach for the University of Louisville football team - Went to my high school and was the QB of our state championship football team.

Reed Johnson of the Cubs - Met him when I went to Wrigley this past August and talked to him for a bit. Really down-to-earth guy.

Rick Pitino - Met him and talked to him a couple times after mass. He went to my church when he was the coach at UK.

I think that's it.

Hmm....all of the above?

hmm... I'll do my best. Just the ones that I actually had contact with(or better), and not just saw in passing.

Sports.
The whole 92-93, 94-95, 97-98, 05-06, 06-07, 07-08, 08-09, 09-10, 10-11 Bulls teams.
Jack McDowell, Wilson Alvarez, Richard Dent, Chris Chelios, Rex Grossman, Tony Amonte, Greg Madux, Ryne Sanberg, Mark Grace, Brian McRae, Albert Belle, Stan Mikita, Eric Kramer, Warren Moon, Steve Young, LaDainian Tomlinson, Marvin Harrison, Lorenzo Neal, Chris Hanson, Jason Taylor, Pat Tillman, Eddy Belfour, Lindsay Davenport... can't remember who else. I know I'm missing some.
Frank Thomas - He shopped at the Dominick's that I worked at.

At a few Comi-con type events. Frank Miller, Todd McFarlane, Neil Gaiman, Dan Jurgens, Sam Keith, Jim Lee, David Carradine and some more I'm sure.

Better known politicians/servants/organizers: Richard J. Daley, Linda Lingle(Hawaii Governor), Colin Powell, Rand Paul, Dick Durbin, Milton Friedman, Lew Rockwell, ...and I don't like to admit this, but Dick Cheney, plus some more that I can't remember.

Performing Artists: Soundgarden, Cheap Trick, Billy Corgan, George Carlin, Hillary Swank, Tom Arnold, the kids from Willy Wonka.... and, yeah, more, but I don't keep track...

I knew I forgot someone. I met Rand Paul when he was running for Senate in 2010. I also met former Kentucky governor Ernie Fletcher.

since I make music videos and everything, I try and meet as many artists as I can...I've met 50 cent, J Cole, and Big Sean thus far. Hopefully that list is a lot longer in a year.

There was a lecture scene that used one of the classrooms in LeConte Hall. Robin Williams stood outside for about 30 minutes chatting with folks, posing with Mrs. Doubtfire cutouts, and signing autographs. It was pretty awesome. The rest of the film was probably done elsewhere though.

I want to meet Ron. Rand doesn't come close to his dad, but I'm not going to hold that against him. He's one of the most honest politicians around still.
