Smith Dominates Knicks

Josh Smith promised the Atlanta fans that he would improve his shooting percentage. Tonight, Smith was 8-14 from the field, including 1-2 from beyond the 3 point line. Joe Johnson followed Smith's lead with 14 points of his own; 12 of which came in the 2nd half. "It's great man. It feels great to get off to a great start. We want to get to the ECF, and beating teams from the East in the regular season helps us get closer to that goal." Josh Smith said. "#ATLSwag, that's what we want the fans to get behind. Say it together #ATLSwag. This is what motivates us." Smith added with energy and enthusiasm. The 3-1 Hawks have a match up with the Utah Jazz to look forward to.

Smith's 21 Guide Hawks to 4th Straight Win

Josh Smith promised fans he'd be more efficent from the floor this season. So far he hasn't disappointed. Smith shot 9-11 from the floor and made a 3 point shot for the second straight game. "It's that #ATLSwag man. I'm blessed to have great teammates who believe in me. It makes my job easier." His frontcourt partner Al Horford scored 15 on the night on 7-10 shooting from the field. Joe Johnson struggled tonight scoring 2 points on 1-6 shooting. Next up for the Hawks is a Sunday night showdown with the Orlando Magic.

Teague's Poor Shot Selection Costs Hawks

Jeff Teague scored 11 points, it took him 12 shots to score those however. Jeff Teague missed a layup at the buzzer to cost the Hawks a chance at their 5th win in a row. Josh Smith led the Hawks with 13 points. The Hawks were no match for Dwight Howard's 14 points and 8 rebounds. The Hawks face Indiana on Wednesday.
