Damn dude! Nice comps! I only play poker so not surprised when I only get discounted room rates! As of matter of fact, I'm headed out there Sat morning. I'm surprising my bros Sunday as there throwing a little BBQ/Poker game. I'm going to wreck the 5-10 NL games all day Saturday on the strip with a little Pot Limit Omaha at the Wynn and show up unexpectedly Sunday afternoon. Half dead of course, but a whole lot richer I hope! Have fun!

I have always wanted to try the poker tables but to be honest, I wouldn't be able to spot the sucker at the table, so that means the sucker is me!
I dabble in blackjack and craps, and fo a few years I really enjoyed Caribbean stud poker, but that is about as far as I go on tables.
...TI is pretty generous with their players club.
The food allowance is 150 a day with their offers.
What I didn't know, and makes me feel terrible because I wasted money before figuring it out, is that the allowance can include gratuity.
Once I figured it out, the server of the last meal I jave of the day has a pretty good day if they are even remotely nice.
If I have 80 bucks left at 11pm and get a 30 dollar meal, they get the remaining balance as a tip.
The Wynn look really nice- i have played but never stayed.
For a few years, I was getting great comps at the venetian, by far my favorite hotel to stay in... but either they cheaped out or I didn't play enough there so their offers don't really compete.
I would split the trip between the 2 properties, 2 nights at the venetian and 3 at ti- i had mentioned that to my host and all of a sudden I started getting 5 day offers.
It doesn't hurt to talk to the person in charge of your account for promos- I have actually stayed places that I paid for and reached out to the host, had them review my play, and had them comp the rooms.
The worst they can do is say no!

You ever stay down by the old strip?
I love walking it, but the casinos are such smaller in scale, they seem claustrophobic.
I suppose at some point I should stay there, but I can't really get a read on the lodging.

Stayed at the Golden Nugget twice and we love it. Have you seen pictures of the new joint, Circa? Just Google Circa Las Vegas Pool. Imagine throwing a party there.

Golden nugget has that really cool water slide in to the aquarium that you see on the way in... it looks awesome- did you do it and was it just as cool going down it as it looks from dry land?

It's fine but it goes so fast you don't feel the effect of being with the fish/sharks. Small pool area but overall nice.

I wouldnt call it a shithole but if you go straying from the Casinos. The neighborhoods can be pretty rough. It wasnt like that until the casinos came. It used to a big kid friendly place with all kind of things to do.

Had at ball today. Bubbled the tournament at Aria which sucks but made it back and then some at the aforementioned 5/10 game at Bellagio. Love those noodles.

Atlantic City sucks. Rent a house down the Jersey shore (Manasquan, Point Pleasant, Long Beach Island) for a week, and go to Atlantic City for a day. Go to Asbury Park. Take the train into NYC for a day. You will have it all.

I am still over a month away from my trip... starting to set reservations for food.
Last 2 times I went i was unable to set reservations for hash house a go go... killer breakfast food. 10 of 10 on breakfast skillets.
Hoping I can get in there.
The other must hit places for me are
Bagel deli... since Carnegie closed in the mirage, I jave been looking for the best place to score a knockout Reuben....if you run across a place let me know.
Sushi samba- crazy good sushi and Brazilian food
La canonita in the venetian shops- outstanding Mexican food
Then, for the hillbilly in me, yardbirds in the venetian.
Always order the same- their chicken biscuits, big ass bowl of grits, and an order of fried green tomatoes.
The fried green tomatoes come with a dish, and are not listed on the menu but they will serve them a la carte.
If you get any great food, I am open to suggestions!

Omg I feel roofied. So tired. So, since I was solo yesterday I didn't do any nice food places. That and the fact my mouth is fubar due to dental issues I had soft noodles for lunch/dinner. One place at resorts world and the low mein from noodles at Bellagio table side. They were fine.
Sounds like you're on the right plan. Love the chicken/watrlermelon dish at Yardbird but I was really craving crab and IIRC the Wynn has them split at night. That sounds delicious. And so funny you mention the deli at Mirage. ALWAYS a stop for me in the past. Back when the Mirage had a legit poker room they would feed the players trays of sandwiches at 3am from the deli as a hook up. Fed me for so many nights that "one year I took off from college to try and go pro." Fond, fond memories of that place.
If you find a killer sandwich spot, please bump this thread. All about it.

And I swear, Vegas would be the best place for a CCS meet up one day. I know it's too big, too post modern and weird, but imagine 20-30 fucks taking over a sports book. Catered food, drinks, etc. I imagine someone would die.
