The Chicago Bears traded back into the 2024 NFL Draft, swapping a 2025 fourth-round pick (via Tom Pelissero) with the Bills to take their No. 144 pick (fifth-round). Ironically, this pick is the exact one the Bears sent to the Bills for offensive lineman Ryan Bates.

I was afraid of this pick. I don't see this kid ever becoming big enough or strong enough to be a difference maker. I hope I am wrong, but I think he will be gone in 2 years.

He is on the thin side and needs to add weight. But at this current weight, he ran a 4.79. It’s only less if he adds weight, so it may just slow him up even more. Maybe they like him as a linebacker? Just throwing anything out there.

I’m not worried about the size, but I wish he was faster. A 4.8 is underwhelming, but at his size, a high 4.4 to low 4.5 would have been nice.
Maybe he can get faster, he does have nice burst, and uses his hands well.
