Roy emptying the net with a half period to go just to put the cherry on top of the shit show he's coaching.

Have to tip the hat to Shaw...haven't heard a whole lot of 1LW talk since Shaw was put back in that spot. Definitely a guy who knows his role and plays it well. Good for him for stepping up and filling that spot for the time being.

Something I would not have expected with the way this season has gone at times: after tonight's offensive explosion, the Hawks now have the third most goals in the league behind Dallas and Washington.

Shaw is a favorite of mine because of how hard he works and how he sticks his nose in and is chippy.

Shaw came out of the same factory as Kane and Toews.

Leader.
Skills and skater.
Ruffian.

That factory made them all too small, and all too skilled. He's the perfect compliment and it's a joke he is on this team too.

Except for the one that gives you hockey talent.

Andrew Shaw is the scrappiest of the scrappy white guys. He does have better hands then sometimes gets credit for, but he's a career third-liner. Playing well for now, sure, but I don't see him as a long term answer one the top line.

Seemed like he put all of the rage and frustration of the last 3 months into that one slapper. It was a goddam rocket.

Beautiful assist on the Hossa goal, too. His best game in a while.
